The Curriculum

Concord is a highly academic institution. The curriculum is both demanding and challenging, supported by a wide-ranging ‘super curriculum’. Concord gives its students the skills required for access to top universities in the UK and globally, and prepares them for lives where they can make a positive difference to the world around them. In 2025, over 70 percent of Concord students got 3 As or higher and 45 percent got three or more A*s at A level. GCSE results are equally impressive, with 57 percent of grades at 9.

Sport & The Arts

Sports at Concord is sports for all. Outdoor education forms a compulsory part of the curriculum; everyone’s individual sporting aims are supported and competitive sports are played. Elite sports students are supported as individuals. Main competitive sports are football (girls and boys), netball, basketball (recent county champions) and badminton. Arts are celebrated at Concord.

Pastoral Care

Every member of staff – teaching, pastoral or otherwise – is committed to helping students to thrive at Concord and beyond. Staff encourage students to lead a balanced life, with emphasis placed on personal wellbeing. There are wonderful boarding facilities as well as a member of staff awake and on call 24/7 and a fully staffed medical centre. A joined up network of boarding house staff, tutors, specialist provision and senior staff ensure that students are healthy, well cared for and helped to flourish.

Exit Destinations

Over 100 2025 leavers are now studying at world top 100 universities (60 at top world top ten). Twelve started at Oxford or Cambridge, and 29 took up places on medical, dental or veterinary medicine courses.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

To guide every student to be a force for good in our world, with high ambitions for their own futures as well as for those around them. Being part of a global community helps our young people to value friendship and launches them on a lifelong intellectual journey through a diverse range of fields, ideas and interests.
