The Curriculum

Games & The Arts

Cranmore is regarded as an outstanding school for the provision of sport, at all levels; Competitions, Curriculum, Co-curricular and Clubs. Art in the younger years provides children with the opportunity to explore art materials and projects through structured and play-based sessions. For older pupils, art is taught in our fully equipped Art & Design Studio through demonstration, experimentation and practice.

Music is at the heart of Cranmore life. We have one of the largest prep school music departments in the country, with nearly twenty visiting music teachers offering a wide range of instrumental and vocal tuition.  Our purpose-built Music School houses fantastic facilities including a Steinway Concert Grand and Mander Pipe Organ, enabling a busy extra-curricular music schedule and exposure to many forms of music. Our aim is to foster a love of music which will stay with the pupils for life.

The welfare and well-being of all pupils is of paramount importance to us.  Our school nurse/matron and team of pastoral staff are available should anyone need to speak in confidence. Our aim is that each pupil not only reaches their academic and extra-curricular potential but is also a happy young individual with good self-esteem.  It is this dedication to pastoral care that helps Cranmore retain its place as one of the leading independent schools in Surrey.
