The Curriculum

The college creates individual timetables for students allowing for enormous flexibility within the curriculum. A wide variety of GCSEs, one-year IGSCES, 24 A-levels, Cambridge Technicals and the International Baccalaureate.

Games & the Arts

Sports teams regularly compete at national level for cricket, hockey and recent students have gone on to play hockey for England. The arts are at the centre of school life with seven music ensemble, five choirs and ten drama productions hosted in the 600 seats state-of-the-art theatre that was opened last year.

Pastoral Care

Kent College has a reputation for being a friendly and caring school, and our pastoral structure is designed to give all pupils the support they need from the start of their school career to the day they leave. Our mission is always to be pupil-centred and to focus on enabling every child to become the best they can be.

University Places

Oxford and Cambridge. 43 per cent of students on average go to Russell group universities. Recent international universities include Bocconi, Esada in Barcelona as well as a variety of universities in the US. Students have been awarded scholarships to study medicine at UCL, hockey in California or a UNICEF scholarship to study in Spain.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

Kent College has a reputation as a friendly school. It is most definitely a place where teachers really get to know the pupils, and have the time and space to give individual attention, both academically and pastorally. While it is a non-selective school, our students consistently achieve excellent academic results at GCSE, A-level, and in the International Baccalaureate. We also offer a wide range of additional support for pupils including English language teaching in our International Study Centre, and a specialist dyslexia unit. We were delighted that at our most recent full inspection (in 2015), the Independent Schools Inspectorate judged the school to be ‘excellent’ in every aspect – the highest grade possible.
