The Curriculum

French & English bilingual teaching of the French curriculum inspired by the British education system. Leaving school, children should be speaking, reading and writing both languages fluently with equal ease.

Games & the Arts

Sports and arts are part of the curriculum. Weekly fencing, ballet, music and visual arts, as well as history of arts classes are taught by teachers specialised in their field. The school takes part in many inter-school events.

Pastoral Care

We take our pupils’ and staff’s wellbeing very seriously. We organise days exploring issues such as bullying, internet safety, emotional and physical health. Teachers receive mental health training and we see pastoral care as preventative but on a basic level also help pupils navigate complex relationships and grow into responsible, confident young pupils. They can share using ‘sharing boxes’ and visit weekly drop-in sessions if they need to speak to someone.

Recent Scholarships

French academic scholarships to Whitgift School.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

My aim is for every child to be happy at school. Pupils are at the centre of their own learning but also part of a community. We encourage everyone to progress at their pace. It is important to aim for the top but also to look back on past achievements.
