The Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed in line with National Curriculum and Common Entrance requirements, with French, Latin and Spanish offered from Year 5. In Years 7 and 8 we offer the Pre-Senior Baccalaureate providing a skills based curriculum framework.

Games & the Arts

A ‘sport is for all’ approach, complemented by a full-size sports hall, shooting range, outdoor swimming pool and astro, courts and pitches. Art and DT thrive, supported by cross curricular work and producing senior school scholarships in these areas.

Pastoral Care

With small classes, high staff to pupil ratios and ISI rated ‘Excellent’ Pastoral Care, every pupil, from 3 to 13, is known by name and becomes part of the Marlborough House family. The care of our pupils is central to school life and we recognise that only a happy child can truly become a confident and independent learner.

University Places

100% Common Entrance and Cranbrook School entrance exam pass rates, high success rate for senior school scholarships.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

Marlborough House is a country Prep school with a distinctly family feel; small enough for everyone to be known and cared for, whilst still embracing the future that our children will be part of. We have an ethos based on developing values and characters; our pupils are given space and time to grow both academically and personally, in a supportive and caring environment.
