Curriculum

English and maths as well as sciences, humanities and art through the inquiry-based International Primary Curriculum. Other subjects include languages, food technology, design and technology, ICT, music, drama and PE.

Games and the Arts

With a broad, balanced sports programme, tailored to the individual, we prepare children for lifelong involvement in sport and physical activity, promoting confidence, health and wellbeing. Whether through art, music or drama, our arts instructors enable students to enjoy creative freedom.

Pastoral Care

We see the pastoral care and needs of our children as central to their success and personal development. There are four main areas of pastoral care that are provided to every pupil: Emotional, Social, Intellectual and Physical. Staff, both day and boarding, work together to ensure that every child’s individual needs are met.

Recent Scholarships

We award academic, art, music and sports scholarships each year for entry into Years 6-8.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

Millfield Prep School is an extraordinary place and provides children with exceptional, unparalleled opportunities. Whatever their passions, pupils can find something to fully immerse themselves in.

Not only is every child seen and known as an individual, but Millfield also firmly believes that every child is brilliant – and it is our mission to help them discover their brilliance and then nurture it to the full.

Outstanding pastoral care is at the core of everything. Kindness and consideration of others is central to all that we are and all that we do. Happy children thrive and succeed and Millfield is full of success stories!
