The Curriculum

A broad and balanced curriculum linked to the National Curriculum for KS 1& 2 from Year 1 to Year 5. From Year 6 to Year 8, pupils are prepared for the ISEB Common Entrance along with entrance exams to their chosen senior schools locally and further afield.

Games & The Arts

Pupils enjoy outstanding facilities for Games and PE. The underpinning philosophy is that every child will represent the school at all of the major team games. The school actively promotes the arts (from Nursery to Year 8), and currently holds an Arts mark award, with all pupils involved in school productions and opportunities to perform musically. Art as a subject is taught from Nursery, with the Early Years sessions being led by an artist as part of our ‘EASEL’ (Expressive Arts Supporting Early Years) programme. From Year 3 pupils receive art lessons from a specialist art teacher.

Pastoral Care

We are a ‘family school’ and so the care of every pupil is paramount. All pupils know and care for each other from across the age ranges. ‘Outstanding social and collaborative skills are extremely well developed through the mutual respect displayed by pupils and staff.’ ISI March 2017

Recent Scholarships

Academic, Art, Drama, Sports & All-rounder in the last 3 years.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

I firmly believe in opportunities for all, and hope that with our guidance every pupil will find something that they can be a success in and, more importantly, enjoy. As well as being a family school, it is our role as educators to ensure that all pupils and parents understand the importance of balance between academic study, pastoral care and extra/ co-curricular activities.
