Take on the toughest season of the year in style
Ready to shake off the last dregs of summer? We certainly are. And so is Crockett & Jones, which has just unveiled its brand new Autumn/Winter collection for 2025. Against all odds, the British shoemaker makes stepping out into the cold a seriously tempting offer – largely thanks to its stylish range of winter boots, designed to take you across even the frostiest of climes. (And if they’re good enough for 007, then they’re certainly good enough for us…) Ready to put your best foot forward? Here’s everything you need to know about Crockett & Jones’ new winter boots.
Crockett & Jones Unveil The Ultimate Winter Boots
For almost 150 years, Crockett & Jones has been crafting some of the chicest shoes for men and women who find themselves stomping across town and country. But more recently, the shoemaker has noticed a shift in its clientele: a demand for OOO, outdoor-ready footwear.
This sits at the heart of Crockett & Jones’ Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, which introduces the brand’s most waterproof winter-ready boots yet. And to demonstrate just how hardy its new boots are, the brand took this season’s campaign up to the Alps. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and rocky terrain, the boots stand out as the ultimate all-weather staple (and the perfect addition to your winter wardrobe).

‘Seeking out a proving ground for a newly developed side leather, the only option was to chase altitude (within reason!),’ says the brand. ‘After all, it was where both Irvine and Mallory took the Alpine club to hone their skills for what was to become a Mount Everest mystery for more than a century to come.’
The boots in question are fresh renditions of Crockett & Jones’ Islay and Grizedale styles, updated with newly developed dark brown waterproof slide leather. Tanned by the Horween Leather Company in Chicago, this is a flexible and super-comfortable leather that the duo have spent years developing – and the results speak for themselves. Add to that a high-grip cleated rubber sole and a waterproof membrane, and you have a pair of boots able to withstand rain, snow, streams and frost.
The New Boots In Focus

Islay 2
Bond fans will no doubt recognise Islay. Daniel Craig notably wore these boots during his stint as 007 in the film Skyfall, for scenes that saw the iconic British spy traverse the Scottish Highlands. The Bond-approved shoe gets its second outing this season with a new technical design, ensuring no water penetrates the lace area while stomping through any Highlands-adjacent terrain. Crockett & Jones dubs this their ‘toughest and most comfortable winter boot today.’

Steeped in wartime tradition, Grizedale makes cold climbs seem like a walk in the park (c) Crockett & Jones
Grizedale 3
This is a boot that comes with a rich heritage. A Goodyear-welted version of the brand’s signature Snowdon style, Grizedale’s origins date all the way back to World War I – when Crockett & Jones produced 3.5 million pairs of officers’ shoes and boots for the war effort. The current model maintains its military form with a sturdy design – made all the better by the aforementioned cleated rubber sole and waterproof membrane – that will see you through even the toughest (and wettest) of landscapes. (Not a single soggy sock to be seen.)
