Skincare, makeup, hair and body care, plus fragrance, wellness and beauty gadgets worth investing in.
There can be a lot of noise in the beauty space: ‘try this, buy that, plump, exfoliate, hydrate, rebalance, buy natural, buy science-led, reduce, add’, and so on, until it’s impossible to know what we should be investing in. But first and foremost, beauty should be about feeling good. I always like to focus on products and innovations that can help give an instant boost or a long-term pick-me-up. In my regularly-updated beauty luxury list I’ll be highlighting and reviewing new skincare, makeup, body and wellness products, plus trusted favourites. It’s not about needing them, it’s about wanting them.
The Country & Town House Responsible Buyers’ Guide
Goldfield & Banks
Rose Magnitude Eau de Parfum 100ml, £209
This bold, modern rose fragrance wraps Damask rose in juicy raspberry, warm cumin and orris for textured richness, deepening into black vanilla, tonka and sandalwood for a sensual, long-lasting trail. Crafted with a focus on high-quality botanicals and sustainable ingredient sourcing, it’s a unique take on a classic note.
DCYPHER
My Custom Foundation, £39
I am always a little suspicious of a ‘personalised’ foundation that’s colour-matched online, but DCYPHER’s shade-match is pretty bang-on. The lightweight base is mixed to your shade, finish and coverage, then infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid and glycerin for plump-looking, smoother skin. Caesalpinia Spinosa fruit and algae extracts help defend against free radicals while creating a smooth, second-skin finish. It’s also vegan, cruelty-free and fragrance-free.
Roja Parfums
Isola Snow Eau de Parfum, £385
A winter escape in a bottle, Roja London’s new scent for 2026 Isola Snow layers bergamot, peppermint and a custom Snowflake accord over pear, lily of the valley and rose to create the scent of a snowflake. Cardamom, rhubarb, cypress, cashmeran, sandalwood, Ambroxan and musk create a cocooning, woody warmth that feels like couture après-ski on skin.
La Prairie
Skin Caviar Day and Night, £495
A super-luxe skincare indulgence; with a price tag to match. The perfect treat for dry winter skin, this is La Prairie’s sumptuous 24-hour ritual pairing Skin Caviar Luxe Cream and Luxe Sleep Mask to lift, firm and replenish skin. Powered by caviar extract and caviar-derived lipids, it helps support collagen production, smooth fine lines and improve elasticity while delivering deep hydration; it’s the ultimate investment in your complexion.
Dolce & Gabbana
The One Pour Homme Parfum, £115
A refined twist on a modern classic and the perfect gift for a loved one (or oneself), The One Pour Homme Parfum deepens the original’s grapefruit, coriander and basil freshness with a richer ginger, cardamom and orange blossom over tobacco, amber and cedarwood.
Chantecaille
Dawn Eye Trio – Flamingo Collection, £70
Three warm pink shadows in matte, shimmer and satin create everything from soft daylight definition to statement flamingo-inspired smokiness. The silky, blendable textures flatter all skin tones, while each purchase supports the Amazon Conservation Team’s work protecting flamingos and their fragile wetland habitats, adding meaningful impact to your makeup bag.
Saltair
Pink Beach Body Oil, £25
The affordable Saltair range smells great and leaves skin soft and smooth. This silky, fast-absorbing body oil cocoons skin in a warm vanilla, coconut and almond blossom scent while delivering lasting nourishment. Blending kukui, cacay, moringa and squalane, it helps support the skin barrier and leaves skin feeling instantly softer. The fragrance brings an instant summer hit into even the greyest of days.
Caudalie
Premier Cru The Rich Cream & its refill Duo, £158
Is your skin craving moisture? Caudalie’s Premier Cru is a rich, refillable anti-ageing cream duo for dry skin that targets wrinkles, dark spots and loss of volume with patented Viniferine, Caudalie’s Longevity technology to plump skin. The fragrance-free formula leaves complexion comforted, nourished and visibly smoother while championing 98% natural-origin, vegan ingredients and reduced-packaging sustainability.
Naturium
Phyto-Glow Shimmer Lip Balm, £14
Am I the only one who thinks a bit of lip shimmer hides a multitude of sins? You can add some shine while you hydrate your lips this season with Naturium’s sheer, high-shine shimmer balm. It cushions lips with a comfortable, non-sticky finish while delivering lasting hydration and a soft, glossy tint. The lightweight formula suits everyday wear or night-out looks, with multiple shades and an improved wand applicator for precise, on-the-go top-ups.
