It seems a wedding is on the cards for Lady Eliza Spencer. The 33-year-old model and aristocrat shared a slew of dreamy holiday photos on Thursday (31 July 2025), in which we can see her now-fiance Channing Millerd get down on one knee to pop the question. As for the ring? As expected, stunning. Here’s everything you need to know about the proposal – as well as all the details on Lady Eliza Spencer’s sparkling engagement ring.
Lady Eliza Spencer Shows Off Pear-Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
It looks like something out of a romance novel. Glass jar candles cascade across the floor, a gigantic bouquet of roses nearby, while a table (set for two) sits prettily backdropped against a rosy-hued sky. This is the setting Channing Millerd chose for his proposal to long-time girlfriend, Lady Eliza Spencer.
We’ve been given a closer look at the sentimental moment, thanks to multiple shared posts on Instagram from their holiday to Santorini – where the proposal took place.
‘Santorini, you will always have a special place in our [heart],’ Eliza captioned in one post, while the other simply said, ‘Forever and Ever.’

The couple, who began dating in 2016, met at a dinner party in South Africa hosted by Channing. Eliza attended with her twin sister Lady Amelia Spencer, along with Amelia’s now-husband Greg Mallet, a friend of Channing’s. This first meeting sparked a fast relationship, lasting for the next nine years – and culminating in one of the most romantic celebrity proposals we’ve seen in a while.
‘I couldn’t be happier for you both! The BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD,’ Amelia commented on the post. ‘I love you both with all my heart! The perfect couple and dream engagement.’
‘Couldn’t be happier for you guys,’ added older sister Kitty Spencer. ‘I love you both so much!’
The niece of the late Princess Diana, Lady Eliza Spencer is first cousin to Prince William and Prince Harry – although she is not in line for the throne. Instead, the aristocrat has made a career for herself as a model alongside her twin sister, having worked for big names like Schiaparelli, Armani, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Chopard, Michael Kors, Bvlgari, Alberta Ferretti, Boodles, De Beers and Vanguart. She made her cover debut on Tatler’s March 2025 issue, along with sisters Amelia and Kitty.
About The Ring
Over the years, Eliza Spencer has cultivated a personal style not too dissimilar to her aunt, Princess Diana – built on classic glamour and standout staple pieces.
‘Eliza has a stunning and timeless sense of style, and this translates beautifully to her engagement ring,’ notes Eliza Walter, founder of London jewellery label LYLIE. ‘From what we can see in the engagement photos posted on Instagram, the ring features a sizeable pear-cut diamond as the centrepiece which looks to be claw-set and surrounded by a delicate halo of pavé-set round brilliant-cut diamonds, which add subtle sparkle without overpowering the main stone.
‘The ring is most likely crafted in a white precious metal, such as platinum or white gold,’ she adds, ‘which beautifully enhances the brightness of the diamonds.’

While details on where the ring was purchased are still unknown, rumour has it that the value sits somewhere between £20,000 and £50,000 – based on the size of the diamond (and the ring itself) and its surrounding setting.
But Eliza tells us that the factor most exciting jewellers is the cut of the diamond itself. Pear-cut stones have always been popular, but they’re expected to really take off in 2025. ‘Pear-cut diamonds are very much on trend right now,’ confirms the jewellery designer. ‘Their elongated shape feels both elegant and modern, and they offer a flattering, elongating effect on the finger. The delicate halo setting adds a touch of vintage-inspired romance, while the use of a white metal keeps the overall look fresh and contemporary.’ With this in mind, it’s no surprise that Lady Eliza Spencer has fallen head over heels for her sparkling engagement ring.
Although the designer also points out that Eliza’s ring has one key defining feature that makes it stand out. ‘Pear-cut solitaires are currently the most on-trend choice, but Eliza’s ring may inspire a shift towards pear-cut diamonds paired with delicate halos,’ she says. ‘It’s also a practical design decision: the most elegant and sought-after setting for a pear shape is with three claws, which Eliza’s ring appears to have. However, three-claw settings can be less secure when used in a solitaire design. By adding a fine halo, the setting gains both structural support and a touch of added sparkle, making it as practical as it is beautiful.’
