From one eclipse to another, here's how the upcoming partial solar eclipse will impact each star sign

Mark your calendars, this Wednesday will be a big day for celestial events. As well as the Perseids meteor shower, we’re set to witness a partial solar eclipse – which astrologers predict will influence the star signs in various ways. Curious what the event could hold for you? Tetiana Tsvil, an astrologer and spiritual advisor at Nebula, shares her horoscope predictions for the partial solar eclipse on 12 August 2026.

Your Full 2026 Horoscope

What Is A Solar Eclipse?

‘A solar eclipse is an astronomical phenomenon that occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, blocking out its light,’ explains Tetiana. The eclipse coming up, however, is a partial one – meaning that the sun won’t be completely obscured by the moon (it’s thought that 91.4 percent of the sun will be hidden behind the moon).

But what does the event mean for us on an astrological level? ‘Solar eclipses are regarded as periods of significant change, new beginnings, and major life events that impact both personal and collective processes,’ notes Tetiana. ‘They often coincide with the definitive end of one phase and the start of another, highlighting issues that require our immediate attention, decisions, or deep re-evaluation. Because this eclipse is occurring in Leo, the main focus will be on themes associated with this bold sign: creativity, projects, hobbies, enjoyment, celebrations, emotions, and children.’

She adds that certain signs may feel the pull of the eclipse more than others – in particular, Leo. ‘As the solar eclipse occurs in the sign of Leo, those born under this zodiac sign will be most significantly affected,’ she confirms. ‘Aquarians may also experience radical changes in their lives, as this zodiac sign is opposite to Leo and the eclipse will symbolically take place in their 7th house, highlighting the sphere of relationships and partnerships. The other fixed signs – namely Taurus and Scorpio – may also experience transformations in the areas of family and career, respectively.’

Are There Any Wellness Rituals We Can Try?

‘During the solar eclipse in Leo, it is best to focus on themes of self-expression, creativity, self-confidence, and personal desires,’ says Tetiana. ‘This period is ideal for practices that help you tune into your inner voice: meditation, journaling, creative pursuits, or reflecting on your life priorities.’

She adds that it’s helpful to ask yourself:

  • What brings me joy?
  • Where am I holding back my potential?
  • Which talents am I ready to express openly?

‘At the same time, on the actual day of the eclipse, it is best not to rush into important decisions or perform symbolic rituals aimed at manifesting your intentions,’ Tetiana adds. ‘Instead, allow events to unfold gradually. In a few days, when the intense energy of the eclipse has stabilised, you can safely return to your planning and new endeavours.’

Solar Eclipse Horoscope: What Each Star Sign Needs To Know

‘The solar eclipse marks the start of the eclipse season, which will last until the lunar eclipse on 27-28 August,’ says Tetiana. ‘This period is considered transformative for most areas of life, as it forces us to look at things in a new light, let go of the old, and give something new a chance. During this time, emotional intensity, conflict, and impulsiveness increase, so it’s very important to avoid rash decisions and to think before you act. Everything that happens during the eclipse season is considered karmic, meaning it will have a lifelong impact and determine the direction you take.’

Below, Tetiana shares her horoscope predictions for each star sign, along with the message they should take to heart this solar eclipse season:

Aries (21 March – 19 April)

The solar eclipse marks the start of a new phase in matters of creativity, romance, children, and self-expression. It may bring fresh inspiration, a new passion, or the desire to showcase your talents more boldly. Choose what fills you with joy, and don’t be afraid to be the centre of attention.

Taurus (20 April – 20 May)

The focus is on home, family, and a sense of inner security. Changes may arise relating to where you live, family matters, or your personal boundaries. Try to create a physical space around you that gives a deep sense of calm and support.

Gemini (21 May – 20 June)

The eclipse activates the areas of communication, learning, information, and new acquaintances. Important conversations, unexpected news, or new knowledge may influence your future decisions. Pay attention to the details and don’t ignore chance encounters or fresh ideas.

Cancer (21 June – 22 July)

The main focus will be on your finances, personal resources, and self-esteem. This is a favourable time to review your sources of income, assess your skills, and understand how to use them to greater advantage. Value your own work and don’t settle for less than you deserve.

Leo (23 July – 22 August)

For you, this eclipse will be one of the most significant periods of the entire year. It marks the start of a new personal cycle linked to your identity, goals, public image, and the way you present yourself. Allow yourself to renew, leave outdated roles behind, and move confidently in a new direction.

Virgo (23 August – 22 September)

A period of inner work, renewal, and re-evaluation is upon you. You may feel a strong need to slow down, bring old matters to a close, or spend more time on your own. Trust your intuition and don’t rush into any important decisions.

Libra (23 September – 22 October)

This eclipse draws your attention to friends, communities, collaborative projects, and plans for the future. Your social circle may change, and new acquaintances could open up interesting prospects. Surround yourself with people who truly support your growth.

Scorpio (23 October – 21 November)

Your career, professional development, and reputation will take centre stage. New opportunities, a change in status, or a reassessment of long-term goals are highly possible. Your achievements are becoming more noticeable, so act with absolute confidence and responsibility.

Sagittarius (22 November – 21 December)

The eclipse opens up opportunities for learning, travel, broadening your horizons, and searching for new meaning. This is a favourable time to step outside your comfort zone, gain new knowledge, or deeply re-evaluate your own beliefs.

Capricorn (22 December – 20 January)

The focus for you is on profound transformations, shared finances, psychological processes, and inner shifts. Certain situations may require you to let go of the past to make way for a new phase. Complete honesty with yourself will be the key to bringing about this change.

Aquarius (21 January – 18 February)

The main themes for you are partnerships, collaboration, and important alliances. The eclipse may mark the start of a new phase in your personal life or your professional relationships. Seek a healthy balance between your own needs and the interests of the other party.

Pisces (19 February – 20 March)

Your focus shifts to work, health, daily routines, and organising your life. This is a favourable time to revamp your routine, streamline your work processes, and look after your physical and emotional wellbeing. Small changes to your daily habits can yield major long-term results.
