Featuring a special menu and décor that will surely tickle you pink
As dusk falls tomorrow night – the first night of October – the Shard will light up the London skyline with a pink glow, visible from more than 40 miles away. It’s happening thanks to the famously glamorous London hotel Shangri-La The Shard in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which takes place every October and which The Shard is supporting for the fifth consecutive year.
Around one in seven women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime but, thanks to critical care, treatment and research, survival rates in the UK have doubled in the last 40 years. We still have a long way to go, but it’s also important to celebrate what has been achieved.
The Shard is once again collaborating with its neighbour Guy’s Cancer to raise money and awareness for this important cause. From delicious cocktails to pink afternoon tea, here are the pink events to check out at the Shard this autumn.
The Shard Goes Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025
Clouds Of Pink Afternoon Tea At TĪNG
With its floor to ceiling windows, Shangri-La The Shard’s 35th floor restaurant and lounge TĪNG truly feels like dining among the clouds. And from 1 October until 18 November, a special pink-drenched afternoon tea will play on this fact, with a whimsical selection of treats raising funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Think finger sandwiches, rose-hued scones with cranberry jam and pastel pastries reflecting the dusky hues of the sky. Wash it down with loose-leaf tea or one of TĪNG’s pink beverages, like the Hibiscus Bloom cocktail (Havana Club 3 Year, Cointreau, lime, hibiscus) or the non-alcoholic Wild Rose Spritz (Tanqueray 0%, rose, lemon, peach, Wild Idol). Or has there ever been a better excuse to pop open a bottle of pink fizz?
Details: TĪNG’s Clouds of Pink Afternoon Tea is available until 18 November 2025, priced at £79 per person, £92 including a flute of Canard-Duchêne Brut Champagne or the signature pink cocktail, and £82 with a non-alcoholic mocktail.
Pink Promise
Pink Cocktails At GŎNG Bar
For an even more sky-high experience, hop in the Shangri-La’s speedy elevator to floor 52 where the famous GŎNG Bar awaits. Guests are invited to toast to the cause and sip on pink delights throughout October, with two special cocktails crafted for the occasion: Hope Ribbon (Champagne, Japanese strawberry liqueur, sweet vermouth, basil-infused vodka) and the non-alcoholic Pink Promise (alcohol-free Champagne, strawberry syrup, Roots Divino Rosso).
Details: Both pink drinks are available throughout October at GŎNG Bar, priced at £22 for the Hope Ribbon and £18 for the Pink Promise.
Pink Sky Brunch At Sky Lounge
For a pink-hued Sunday treat, Sky Lounge is the place to be, where a special Pink Sky Brunch will be served weekly. Start with a mouthwatering Devon Crab Pancake drizzled with lemon aioli, before choosing your main: either dry-aged roasted beef sirloin, salmon on the bone or a hearty vegan Wellington, served with a side of crispy truffle potato croquettes. Then it’s over to the dazzling dessert buffet featuring a plethora of decadent yet delicately crafted desserts plus a very special ruby-pink chocolate fountain. If you prefer to end with a cheese course, this buffet is not to be missed, with a large cheese section curated in collaboration with Neal’s Yard aged cheddars and Aubrey Allen’s curated selection of British and European cheeses.
Details: Pink Sky Brunch is available every Sunday in October until 9 November 2025, priced from £80 per person including a flute of Canard-Duchêne Brut Champagne. Vegetarian and vegan options are available upon request.
Oblix’s Pink Afternoon Tea
Outside of Shangri-La The Shard, the skyscraper’s fellow sky-high restaurant Oblix is transforming its signature afternoon tea in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Think delicate sandwiches, freshly baked scones and imaginative pastries, all with a pink twist for the occasion. For every Pink Afternoon Tea sold, £1 will be donated to Breast Cancer Now.
And of course, if you look towards The Shard from 9pm on 1 October 2025, you will be able to see the skyscraper in all of its pink glory.
