Curriculum

RGS Surrey Hills offers a broad and ambitious education for pupils aged 11-18, with pathways including GCSEs, A levels and IB. Small class sizes allow teachers to know every pupil as an individual, providing personalised support and challenge. Learning extends beyond the classroom through leadership, sport, creative arts, outdoor education and Round Square opportunities, helping pupils develop the skills, confidence and qualifications needed for future success.

Sport & The Arts

Sport and the arts are central to life at RGS Surrey Hills. Set within 26 acres of Surrey countryside, pupils enjoy opportunities in rugby, football, hockey, netball, cricket, athletics and outdoor education, supported by extensive grounds and specialist facilities. Creative opportunities include drama, music, art and design, with regular performances, exhibitions and productions. Through participation, leadership and competition, pupils develop confidence, teamwork and resilience.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care sits at the heart of RGS Surrey Hills. The small school environment ensures every pupil is known, valued and supported as an individual. Form tutors, house staff and dedicated pastoral leaders work closely with families to promote wellbeing, confidence and personal growth. A strong sense of community, combined with excellent boarding and day school support, helps pupils feel safe, happy and ready to thrive both academically and socially.

Exit Destinations

Recent leavers have gone on to study at universities including Durham, Bristol, Bath, Brighton, Kent, Westminster, Greenwich, Nottingham and King’s College London.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

To ensure every child is known, valued and encouraged to be the very best version of themselves. Education should nurture confidence, curiosity and character alongside academic achievement. At RGS Surrey Hills pupils are challenged, supported and inspired to embrace opportunity and fulfil their potential.
