This cheerful restaurant group is run by a collective of Italian mothers, who cook hearty dishes with love – ideal if you’re looking for somewhere to dine with a multi-generational group this New Year’s Eve. A four-course set menu is on offer, kicking off with prosecco (or champagne for an extra £10pp) and starters of burrata and arancini – plus a special dish designed to bring good luck, the lenticchie e cotechino, made with lentils and pork trotter. There’s nothing like a good skyline view to make you feel grateful for our beautiful capital city – and we all love feeling a bit sentimental on NYE, right? You’ll find the most impressive vistas at the city’s tallest restaurant, Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat Bishopsgate, which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Shard – particularly magical at night, when the city glitters beneath you. The glamorous spot is going all out for NYE, serving a multi-course feast featuring luxurious dishes like Japanese wagyu tomahawk and lobster gyoza. The Foodie’s Choice: Brunswick House, Vauxhall
Housed in a Grade II Georgian mansion in Vauxhall, chef Jackson Boxer’s Brunswick House is like nowhere else in London. New Year’s Eve here is always a treat: usually there’s a set menu on offer in the main restaurant, alongside live music and drinks in the cellar bar. We’re waiting for this year’s food offering but last year included dishes like devilled eggs with black sesame, grilled kohlrabi with oyster mushrooms, and wood-fired sirloin with roscoff onions, finishing with a boozy prune tart or Virunga chocolate with olive oil. The food is always delicious and it has a buzzy vibe.

The Big Blowout: The Savoy, The Strand
Got cash to splash? Splurge on a ticket to The Savoy’s famous NYE gala. This year, the party has a Roaring Twenties theme, so expect plenty of glitz – we’re thinking champagne towers, gold backdrops and sequins galore. After a canapé reception, you’ll sit down to a six-course dinner in the recently revamped Gallery restaurant, which will be interspersed with live entertainment, including a performance from the live band Totem. No word yet on the menu, but this is one of London’s grand dames and the food offering is second-to-none. If you want to go all-out, book a stay in one of the hotel’s majestic new suites to ring in 2026 in seriously lavish surroundings.

The Gastropub: The Harwood Arms, Fulham
New Year’s Eve is the perfect excuse to visit London’s only Michelin-starred pub, The Harwood Arms. Helmed by The Ledbury’s Brett Graham alongside chef Mike Robinson, it specialises in British game meat and wild food, with a focus on British provenance. On 31 December, there’s a set menu on offer for £120pp which is sure to bring the wow factor. The dishes are still TBC but you can guarantee top quality (The Harwood Arms has held onto its star since 2009), served amid the cosy surrounds of a classic London pub.

The A-List Favourite: Broadwick Soho
Nowadays, London’s Soho set are swerving Bar Italia for the Broadwick, a maximalist’s dreamland spread across eight floors. The hotel has attracted a string of A-listers since landing on Broadwick Street, from Taylor Swift to Zoë Kravitz, and is renowned for its wild parties – making it the perfect choice for an NYE shindig. Begin with dinner at the sexy subterranean restaurant Dear Jackie, which is serving a four-course menu featuring dishes like delica pumpkin tortellini, salt baked celeriac, and burnt custard tart. Always dreamt of ringing in the new year on a boat? Venture to Hackney favourite Barge East, a floating restaurant which has won a string of awards for its seasonal menus. The unique setting makes for a fitting New Year’s Eve location, with an eight-course tasting menu on offer featuring the likes of ethically sourced sirloin and Pink Lady apple tart. Celebrations kick off at 8pm and go on until 2am, with live music through the night and an array of different bookable areas for groups.

You can’t go wrong with Bluebird, one of the King’s Road’s most beloved institutions. This year, the restaurant is hosting a Gatsby-inspired party, which will see the venue transformed into a speakeasy complete with live jazz and flowing champagne. Stay tuned for menu details but for a taste, last year’s dinner was a four-course affair featuring dishes like whole grilled dover sole and winter berry cheesecake.

The Glitzy Rooftop: Sea Containers London, Southbank
If you can’t decide between dinner and dancing, why not combine them for a New Year’s Eve to remember? Riverside hotel Sea Containers London is throwing a night of celebrations, kicking off with a four-course dinner at the restaurant complete with the likes of potato confit with exmoor caviar, salt-baked celeriac, and forest chocolate mousse – washed down with Lauren-Perrier. Afterwards, visitors can continue the fun at the hotel’s rooftop bar 12th Knot, where you can sip Grey Goose cocktails and soak up the riverside views (with open bar options allowing unlimited drinks throughout the night).

The Date Night: La Poule au Pot, Belgravia
Often billed as one of London’s most romantic eateries, Belgravia’s French institution La Poule au Pot is well-suited to special occasion date nights. Although its 2025 NYE plans are yet to be announced, it’s likely the restaurant will do something similar to last year, which involved a special menu featuring hors d’oeuvres of snails, onion soup and scallops, ahead of the signature (and titular) dish, La Poule au Pot (chicken in a pot). Pair with French wine and toast to a great 2026 with your other half.
