Priya Ahluwalia Designs Doll-Sized Fashion Collection From Landfill
While better known for her work on the London Fashion Week runway, Priya Ahluwalia has tackled a new challenge with her latest collection. The designer, who is also the Creative Director and founder of London label Ahluwalia, has teamed up with Epson on a doll-sized fashion collection made from textile waste – to showcase how clothing innovations could help tackled the landfill crisis.
Titled ‘Fashion Play’, the collection utilises Epson’s Dry Fibre Technology, which transforms old textiles into new fibres without water or harsh chemicals, and its Monna Lisa digital textile printing technology, which can reduce water consumption in the colour printing stage of clothing production by up to 97 percent.
‘The Fashion Play collection is a playful nod to our love of dressing up – which starts when we are children – but using methods and materials such as these could make a seismic change to the fashion industry and planet,’ commented Maria Eagling, Chief Marketing Officer at Epson. ‘We’re really excited to be working with Priya Ahluwalia, a designer who we hugely admire for her upcycling endeavours and commitment to creating beautiful pieces that don’t cost the earth.’
The collection was created to illustrate ways we can tackle the ongoing landfill crisis. In the UK, 216 million pieces of children’s clothing into landfill each year – that’s 244 times the height of Mount Everest, if stacked in one giant clothes pile.
‘Travelling to India and Nigeria, I witnessed the true scale of textile waste as a result of the Western second-hand clothing industry,’ said Priya Ahluwalia. ‘That experience has stayed with me, and I have since endeavoured to work in a way that is better for people and the planet, especially in the global south.
‘This collaboration with Epson goes beyond fashion. It’s about starting conversations on sustainability at multiple levels, from how we dress ourselves to what we choose for those we love. Through this miniature collection made with Dry Fibre Technology, we hope to show that innovation and imagination can reshape the future of fashion.’
Thom Sweeney’s London Flagship Is Bigger (And Better) Than Ever
If you’ve made the trip down to Old Burlington Street recently, chances are you’ll have noticed that change is afoot – at least, for Thom Sweeney it is. The heritage tailor recently expanded its London flagship to encompass the former art gallery next door, so the current store now sits across two spaces.
With its newly expanded ground floor, Thom Sweeney now has an even bigger space within which it can show off its ready-to-wear collection and offer more spacious fitting rooms. On the first floor, meanwhile, you’ll find the same private space (now a little roomier) for bespoke and made-to-measure appointments, as well as a display of commissioned garments that show off the label’s portfolio.
Thom Sweeney’s secluded garden, tucked away at the back of the store, remains a staple – offering visitors a quiet reprieve between shopping sessions.
You can visit the Thom Sweeney flagship store at 24C Old Burlington Street, London W1S 3AU

Ascot Unveils Its 2025/26 Jumps Season Lookbook
Jumps Season has officially arrived – and Ascot has answered the age-old call of: ‘But what will I wear?’ The legendary racecourse has just unveiled the latest edition of its Jumps Season Lookbook, which acts as a style guide for autumn-winter events dressing.

For a second year running, the Lookbook has been curated by stylist Alice Hare. Drawing on vintage silhouettes and English country charm, Hare set out to celebrate the new racing season with each look – and prove the racecourse is just as fun in autumn and come summer. ‘For many, racing fashion is seen as a summer affair, but I hope the Jumps Season Lookbook challenges that, showcasing winter racing as just as rich in sartorial drama,’ the stylist said. ‘The pieces were chosen to inspire winter event dressing and are designed to be wardrobe mainstays beyond the races. While practical, they’re also bold, story-driven pieces meant to spark conversation and carry meaning across generations.’
The 26 looks – spread across womenswear, menswear and children’s – balance heritage British labels with rising international designers, and play on blends of old and new. ‘Several models wear vintage Hermès ties from my grandfather-in-law,’ noted Hare, ‘reflecting the heritage and craftsmanship that shaped this year’s looks.’ Details include tartan capes with bubble hems, boucle cast in gold, and velvet suits with quirky buttons.

Mithridate Opens The Doors On The Karaoke Club
Mithridate’s new collection is singing to us. Quite literally. British designer and Creative Director Daniel Fletcher continues to explore the interconnected modes of storytelling that align the Chinese-born label with its London base – and with this capsule looks to the joyful atmosphere of the karaoke booth.
While rooted in British codes – stripes, tailoring and sporting heritage – the 20-piece capsule also plays on cross-cultural pieces. Think striped scarves, wool outerwear, retro fit tees and slogan caps, as well as the designer’s signature suiting.
