The Curriculum
Greene’s is a specialist college in UK education – especially GCSE & A levels first time and retake – offering a unique blend of high-quality, individual and small group tuition. Greene’s style of learning is defined by one-to-one or three-to-one tuition, taught in the Socratic method, with an emphasis on independent study. It allows staff to support students with cultivating critical thinking and independent learning skills, preparing students for the transition from A levels to university life.
Sport & The Arts
Alongside a variety of enriching clubs – including the student social committee, debating and wellbeing – students can attend the Oxford Union. The college’s leadership programme provides students with insight into areas that they otherwise might not have explored. The course seeks to diversify the subjects included in the academic provision at the college and to ensure that students are challenged, collaboratively and continually, by new and exciting ideas and prospects.
Pastoral Care
At Greene’s, every student has a dedicated personal tutor, a mentor who provides one‑to‑one academic guidance and welfare support, ensuring they thrive both inside and outside of Greene’s.
Exit Destinations
Almost 80 percent of students secure their first-choice university placement. In 2025, Greene’s students held offers for 23 of 24 of the Russell Group universities and four of five of the G5 universities.
Head Teacher’s Philosophy
To tailor students’ education to their unique qualities and needs, ensuring they are more likely to be successful. Our approach to education is based on the tutorial method, fostering self-confidence and independence to prepare students for the future.
