The hit show isn't over just yet

Season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm concluded with an emotional finale, as frontman Jeremy Clarkson revealed he has been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. However, in a recent interview Clarkson has confirmed his cancer is thankfully in remission, calling himself the ‘world’s luckiest man’.

Shortly after, Clarkson also revealed the Prime show will be returning for season 6. ‘I am delighted to tell you season 6 of Clarkson’s Farm is currently being filmed, it’s in production,’ he said on Instagram. ‘And that’s particularly good news for me because, well if you know you know. And if you don’t know, you need to watch season 5.’

So what do we know about the upcoming series? And when can we expect it to land on our screens?

What Will Happen?

If you’re a newbie to the show, Clarkson’s Farm is a documentary series following Jeremy Clarkson as he attempts to run his own 1,000-acre farm in Chipping Norton, the Cotswolds. He’s helped by young farmer Kaleb Cooper – the show’s breakout star – alongside girlfriend Lisa Hogan, land agent Charlie Ireland and farmhand Gerald Cooper. Each season sees Clarkson and the team facing a flurry of problems, from early battles with the council over the introduction of a restaurant at the farm to extreme weather and the recent outbreak of Bovine Tuberculosis among the cattle.

One of the biggest storylines in the most recent series, though, was Clarkson’s own health struggles. The opening episodes of the series documented Clarkson undergoing emergency surgery to clear blocked arteries, with doctors warning he was potentially days away from a fatal heart attack. And the series closed with Clarkson’s cancer diagnosis, which came in May 2025 after a routine health check. It’s possible season 6 will continue to document Clarkson’s health journey.

In terms of other storylines to expect, we haven’t got much to go on yet. However, Clarkson did hint we can expect a wintry trip to Diddly Squat. When discussing a potential sixth series to The Sun the former Top Gear presenter said: ‘We’ve never had a rest, we wrap a series and immediately start again because farming doesn’t stop.

‘You harvest and you’re immediately start drilling for the next year. So, but this time Kaleb’s gone off to Australia, he’s filming down there at the moment; I was doing Millionaire Hot Seat and I really wanted to have a holiday because I haven’t had one in ages.

‘So we just said “OK, well let’s just actually wrap it”… and then, I just said, “If it snows we’ll start filming again.”’

Other events which could be covered in the series include the cast’s visit to FarmFest, which took place back in May at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. Perhaps we’ll also see snippets from Kaleb’s recent wedding to long-term partner Tara?

When Will It Air?

Clarkson’s Farm season 6 will air in summer 2027, though an exact date is yet to be announced. The official Clarkson’s Farm Facebook page posted: ‘It’s now official – Clarkson’s Farm will return for a sixth season, arriving a little later than usual in summer 2027. Filming has already faced a few hurdles along the way, including a break from production, positive TB (tuberculosis) tests, and relentless rain earlier this year.’

Will Season 6 Be The Last?

There’s no word yet on whether season 6 will be the last. However, when asked about the possibility of a seventh season, Clarkson responded: ‘I said I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas. But I’ve got two quite good ones, so we’ll do six and then we’ll see.’

Seasons 1 – 5 of Clarkson’s Farm are available to stream now on Prime Video.
