Plus, where else Jennifer Lawrence has owned homes
Beverly Hills is so jam-packed with celebrities that a little light house-swapping between A-listers is almost inevitable. With only 5.7 sqm of space up for grabs, and limited properties available, any stars planning a relocation elsewhere in the region will likely find their new home’s owners have at least a few Emmys, Grammys, Oscars or Tonys under their Gucci belts. And this Beverly Hills home is no exception, with its long list of former owners including everyone from Jennifer Lawrence and Ellen DeGeneres to the Delevingne sisters.

The Hunger Games star first bought her Hamptons-esque Beverly Hills pad through a trust tied to her father, Gary Lawrence, in 2014 for $8.225m. More recently, she sold the property in September 2025 in an off-market deal for $11m; the buyer was an LLC tied to Cara and Poppy Delevingne, who have previously owned a Hollywood Hills home together.
But its celebrity connections don’t end there. Records show that past owners include Jessica Simpson, Hollywood producer and manager Rick Yorn (whose clients include Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese), former Viacom co-president Tom Freston, and actress Jami Gertz – who owns the Atlanta Hawks NBA team alongside her husband, the billionaire businessman Tony Ressler.

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Arrested Development star Portia de Rossi, are also former owners. Notorious ‘serial flippers’, the couple are known to frequently buy up and renovate homes across California, and now, the Cotswolds. In November 2024 the pair first made the move to the bucolic British region when they purchased Kitesbridge Farm. Though they put the updated property on the market in July 2025, it failed to sell due to flooding risks – and so the pair have chosen to extend and renovate the home instead.

Inside Jennifer Lawrence’s Former Home
Located in the guard-gated enclave of Hidden Valley Estates, set back behind leafy green landscaping, this foliage-clad home spans over 5,500 sqft. Built in 1991, the French country-style house was originally done-up by interior designer Kerry Joyce, while more recent renovations were made by Los Angeles-based AD100 firm Clements Design.

Inside, the custom kitchen features a La Cornue range with a built-in Miele coffee system and a Carrara marble island that opens onto a formal dining dining room. The west-facing breakfast nook, meanwhile, opens onto an outdoor seating space via French doors. Entered through the marble-floored foyer, the living room boasts a wood-burning fireplace and a screened porch outfitted with electric heaters. Elsewhere, the more relaxed family room includes a home bar equipped with a wine and beverage fridge and an icemaker, while an en-suite bedroom also sits on this level. Surrounded by mature greenery, the 13,000 sqft of park-like grounds feature classic stonework, a koi pond, two fire pits, water features, and a 40 ft swimming pool.
Accessed via two separate staircases, the floor above features four more ensuite bedrooms, including the oversized primary suite with its own seating area, balcony and walk-in closet.

Where Else Has Jennifer Lawrence Owned Homes?
Raised in Kentucky, Jennifer Lawrence and her family moved to New York and later Santa Monica in pursuit of her acting career. This Beverly Hills mansion, purchased after she received the Best Actress Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook, was her first ever property deal.
In 2016, she went on to put down roots in New York when she purchased a penthouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side for $15.6m which she later sold in early 2020. Only a year after her first NYC purchase, Lawrence snatched up an apartment in the celebrity-loved Tribeca building which has also been called home by Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Harry Styles and Justin Timberlake. When she later hopped across the pond to film Red Sparrow, she rented out the apartment for an eye-watering $27,500 a month before selling it in early 2023.
Today, the star’s primary base is a West Village townhouse which she owns with her husband, the art gallerist Cooke Maroney. Purchased for $21.9m in 2020 (soon after they tied the knot a year prior), the new-build features four bedrooms across two floors, plus an open-plan living room and kitchen, landscaped garden, and shared access to a gym, sauna and garage.
