King Charles III is fronting a new documentary for Prime Video, charting his battle ‘to work with rather than against nature’. The feature-length film, provisionally titled Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision and directed by Nicholas Brown, will feature archival footage from the King’s decades of campaigning for environmental causes – with hopes it will encourage others to make positive change.

Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision: Everything We Know So Far

The King has long been an advocate for our natural world, but as Brown points out, many people aren’t familiar with his efforts. ‘Remarkably few people around the world know the full depth of the King’s lifelong battle to bring nature and humanity into harmony,’ says Brown.

Charles’ green spirit can be traced all the way back to 1969, when the young Prince of Wales wrote a letter to Prime Minister Harold Wilson lamenting the decline of salmon stocks in the Scottish rivers. Since then, he has helmed numerous projects in aid of the planet, from establishing the Sustainable Markets Initiative to launching the Coronation Food Project, a campaign to simultaneously tackle issues of food waste and poverty.

Amazon’s new documentary, though, will focus in particular on King Charles’ philosophy of harmony, first outlined in his 2010 book, Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World. Created in collaboration with two environmental advisors, Tony Juniper and Ian Skelly, the book demonstrates how imbalance is central to issues surrounding climate change, warning about the harmful consequences of the modern world’s disconnect with nature.

Now, this ethos is being explored through a new medium. Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision will explore how Charles’ philosophy of harmony is being applied to agriculture, architecture, textiles and town planning all over the world through his charity, The King’s Foundation, in places from Guyana to India. The film will also hone in on the impressive work being done at the charity’s HQ, Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, as well as Highgrove, the Gloucestershire estate which King Charles has  spent years transforming into an organic garden.

The documentary will also show the King’s first harmony summit, which he hosted at Highgrove this July. Run in partnership with the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance and the Earth Elders, this brought together Indigenous leaders and practitioners, who presented their perspectives on the state of the Earth.

‘Nature is our sustainer – we are a part of nature. Therefore, what we do to her, we do to ourselves,’ says the King. ‘Never has it been more important for the world to make a concerted effort to protect and prioritise our planet, and to restore our relationship with it.

‘It is therefore my fondest hope that this film may encourage a new audience to learn about the philosophy of Harmony – and perhaps inspire the same sense of determination it has given me to help build a more sustainable future.’

To mark the official announcement, a new photograph of the King was released, showing Charles in a light suit, surrounded by greenery in Highgrove Gardens, during filming, which began in January 2025 at Dumfries House. Alongside the King, a number of famous faces will make cameos including David Beckham, who recently became an ambassador for The King’s Foundation.

Rather than scaremongering, Brown describes the film as a ‘story of hope and resilience’ which will leave viewers feeling ‘uplifted and motivated’. He adds: ‘The King’s philosophy offers something for everyone. Mostly, he shows us the power of resilience – and how following your intuition can transform the world.’

Courtenay Valenti, Head of Film for Amazon MGM Studios, says: ‘We are deeply honoured to bring His Majesty’s pioneering environmental philosophy to Prime Video audiences worldwide through this landmark documentary. Finding Harmony represents the culmination of The King’s lifelong dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.’

When Will It Come Out?

The documentary will premiere on Prime Video in early 2026, and be available in over 240 countries worldwide.
