Review: VIBE by Engage Hospitality at Harry Styles, Wembley Stadium

There is a version of attending a sell-out Wembley stadium gig that involves long spells queueing at the bar for a drink (thus missing your favourite song), standing behind the world’s tallest person so that you can’t see the stage, and spending the post-show hour shuffling down Wembley Way shoulder to shoulder with 90,000 other fans as soon as the lights go out. But there is a golden alternative. We were hosted for Harry Styles’ Together, Together show by VIBE by Engage, a premium but informal hospitality package operated through Engage, the official hospitality agent for Wembley Stadium. Here’s our experience, as it was. 

Getting There

Arrival is straightforward; hospitality guests enter via a dedicated entrance on Olympic Way, keeping you separate from the general crowd. Security is quick and well-organised – though it is worth knowing before you go that Wembley has a strict bag policy; nothing larger than an A4 piece of paper is permitted inside the stadium and anything bigger will be turned away at the gate, meaning an extra trip to a nearby hotel for a bag drop (and an extended wait afterwards to retrieve it). Once inside it’s several levels up passing makeup artists and suits towards the box. 

The VIBE Suite

VIBE is situated in Pitch View East, a shared lounge space on Level 3. On arrival, it’s a complimentary Harry Styles-themed cocktail for your first watermelon sugar high of the night. The space itself treads the fine line between being corporate and comfy – there’s plenty of informal lounge seating, a complimentary bar stocked with beer, wine and soft drinks, and a generous hot buffet with a good spread of food and desserts. Everything is included in the package, along with pre-show champagne and a cute little goodie bag. If you want to pick up some show merch without queuing you can even order it straight to the suite to pick up before you leave. The atmosphere before the show is great; there’s a DJ playing, drinks flowing, and plenty of space to relax away from the sun on the terrace seating outside before lights up on the stage. 

The View

Reserved seats are positioned directly outside the hospitality suite, which means you have your own dedicated area rather than being in the bowl with everyone else. The view is a wide 180-degree sweep across the stage from the centre-back of the stadium. You are not in the thick of it – so if you want to sweat it out in the pit this isn’t the spot for you – rather, you have a clear, unobstructed view of the full stage and both screens so you can take in all the action. If you want close-up shots of Harry Styles in his short shorts though, you will need to zoom in. 

After The Show

When the last note dies, the VIBE suite really shows its value. You can swerve the post-show blues (and the Wembley Way crowds) as the complimentary bar reopens and the DJ kick-starts. Whether you want to do some late night talking and debrief on your highlights or you still have some dancing left in you, there’s food still being served so you can grab something from the dining table before you head out into the night. 

Is It Worth It?

A Wembley stadium crowd can feel a bit overwhelming but VIBE by Engage provides a relaxed private space to take in the show with all-you-can-eat-and-drink indulgence to make the night extra special. Harry Styles and Shania Twain provide such a feel-good show it would be hard not to have a good time; but heading home on the last tube of the night after a fully-catered six hours of entertainment it feels like everything is coming up roses.
