One of the biggest dates in the rugby calendar, the Six Nations returns this February for five weeks of high-octane sport across Europe. Whether you plan to tune in from the sofa or prefer to soak up the atmosphere in the pub, read on for a guide to the tournament including the fixtures schedule, how to watch on TV and London’s best viewing spots.

Six Nations 2026: A Guide To Watching In & Out

When Is The Six Nations 2026?

For the first time in its history, the 2026 Six Nations kicks off on a Thursday evening, with France taking on Ireland on 5 February at 8.10pm. This will begin five weeks of matches, with England playing on 7 February, 21 February, 7 March and 14 March. The question is: under captain Maro Itoje’s leadership, will England continue their impressive run of form and take home the trophy for the first time since 2020?

How To Watch On TV

In the UK, all matches will be aired on either BBC or ITV for free. Here’s the full schedule of fixtures and where to watch.

Round one

  • 5 Feb, 8.10pm: France v Ireland – ITV
  • 7 Feb, 2.10pm: Italy v Scotland – BBC
