An exciting new food hotspot is arriving in SW3 this summer

Hot off the heels of the launch of The Chelsea Grocer, Duke of York Square is getting a brand-new restaurant. Set to open its doors this summer is Cafe Linea, a new restaurant, bar and bakery housed in a Grade II-listed 19th century arcade beside the Saatchi Gallery on the King’s Road.
Cafe Linea To Open In Duke Of York Square This Summer
The brainchild of husband-and-wife duo Greg and Felicity Godik, Cafe Linea is inspired by the bistros of European arcades, offering produce-led dishes from breakfast through to dinner. It’s sure to be a feast for the eyes, too, with interiors designed by Dion & Arles, the team behind cult London restaurant Chiltern Firehouse as well as uber-trendy hotel The Standard, London.Â
Many original features of the historic building have been preserved, including vaulted ceilings and arched alcoves, and large windows will give the restaurant a bright, airy feel – with candles bringing a touch of romance to the evenings. There will also be a large, tucked away terrace, perfect for outdoor dining during the warmer months.
Argentinian chef partner Carolina Ferpozzi has been brought in to head up the kitchen, focusing on seasonal fare and comfort food classics. Ferpozzi brings with her a wealth of experience working alongside respected South American chefs including Fernando Trocca and Narda Lepes.

In the mornings, there will be an array of pastries on offer, from savoury allumettes filled with ham and cheese to banoffee bostocks with banana cream, plus a brunch menu and beautifully created cakes. The a la carte menu, meanwhile, will include dishes like ricotta dumplings with mushrooms, and sharing curried chicken pie.Â
A few sneak peeks of dishes have been shared on Instagram too, including cured native mackerel with smoked cream and heritage tomatoes, and a courgette, lemon and ricotta galette.
On the drinks side, there will be a selection of signature cocktails alongside a curated wine list that specialises in small, old-world producers – including sparkling and sweet varieties designed to complement the bakery offerings.
