The capital's most delicious feasts for the festival of lights
Also known as the festival of lights, Diwali is a five-day festival which celebrates togetherness and the victory of good over evil. Originating in India, it is rooted in religion, and is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains all over the world through dazzling light displays, festive decor and gift exchanges. But food is also a key part: families and friends enjoy big feasts of sweet and savoury fare, with many dishes holding symbolic meaning. Here in London, many restaurants get involved with special menus and events; we’ve rounded up the best of the bunch for 2025. Read on for our guide on where to celebrate Diwali in London.
