Looking for the ultimate gingerbread man recipe this festive season? Gordon Castle Gin has cooked up a recipe for your very own little festive friend, complete with a touch of gin to get the party started.

Gingerbread Man Recipe


350g plain flour
1tsp bicarb
2 tsp ground ginger
1sp cinnamon
115g butter
175g brown sugar
1 medium egg
4 tbsp syrup
10ml Gordon Castle Gin


(This recipe is for one gingerbread man – so bake more if you’re expecting company…)

  1. Mix the flour, bicarbonate of soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, butter and brown sugar until you get a bread crumb consistency.
  2. From there, add the egg, syrup and gin in stages into the mixture, kneading after each.
  3. Once you are happy that it’s all mixed, roll out and cut him into shape.
  4. Bake at 170c for 12-15 mins
