It's official: bows and ribbons aren't just for Christmas

It’s undeniable: bows are taking the fashion world by storm. From hair ribbons to dainty bow bags and ballet flats, these little accessories are everywhere – but they’re set to become an interiors trend, too. Here’s everything you need to know.

With Christmas once again a distant memory, the time has come to pack up your decorations and take the wreath off your door. Though January is in full swing, who says you can’t preserve the cosy, whimsical feeling that Christmas decorations create – and be on trend at the same time?

Enter: the bow trend. A big red ribbon might conjure mental images of presents under the tree, but bows are here to stay throughout 2024, and there are plenty of ways to incorporate them into your decor. Whether it’s a colourful bow for your door, a bow-patterned napkin set or a cushion cover adorned with tiny ribbons, you’ll find something to transform your interiors.

You can also get creative with bows: tie ribbons onto candlesticks, use them as napkin holders, or hang oversized bows from doorknobs and drawer handles for a particularly charming touch. If you don’t fancy fashioning some yourself, however, you can browse an array of bow-themed homeware items including plates, vases and even bottle openers.

Looking to hop on the trend? Read on for some inspiration.
