The Curriculum

We strive for academic excellence, as well as providing pupils with the skills to question, debate and discover, both in the classroom and during independent learning. We are keen to develop thinkers who have the ability to tackle life’s challenges, and solve them.

Games & The Arts

Sports – encouraging a love of sport at all levels and ages.

Adventure – expeditions, challenge and adventure.

Music – pervasive, celebrated and enjoyed throughout.

Drama – talent showcased in multiple plays and musicals.

Creative Arts – enabling design, ideas and creativity to flourish.

Pastoral Care

We place pastoral care at the heart of all that we do. Our nurturing environment ensures every pupil feels supported, enabling them to succeed academically and beyond. Our pastoral system is based upon excellent interactions between pupils and staff. The Heads of House provide continuity of pastoral care throughout a pupil’s time here, they can also talk to many other caring adults including Form Tutors, School Nurses, Counsellors and Chaplain.

University Places

The most popular recent university destinations include Nottingham, Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Durham, Exeter plus a handful to Oxbridge each year.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

We believe the potential of our pupils is limitless and endeavour to fulfil their promise within a happy, caring and well-disciplined environment. Academic life here is full of enriching opportunities developed by passionate teaching staff. We strive for our pupils to become confident, responsible, respected and selfless citizens, ready for the future.

Outstanding Characteristics

Churcher’s College enjoys recognition as one of the country’s leading independent, co-educational day schools. Hosted on two campus sites in Hampshire, Junior School pupils are able to flourish in their own beautiful grounds, whilst maintaining close links to the Senior School and Sixth Form nearby. Both campuses offer a green and healthy environment with unrivalled facilities and on-site sports pitches.
