To ensure a meaningful visit, prospective applicants and their parents should attend an Open Morning when an applicant is in Year 4 or above. Click here to book a place at an open morning.

The Curriculum

Harrow offers a coherent and balanced curriculum that responds quickly to changing requirements, as well as a challenging and inspiring Super-Curriculum that widens and enriches boys’ knowledge and understanding.

Games & the Arts

With afternoon games five times a week, a choice of nearly 30 different sports, and regular inter-school and inter-House matches, Harrovians are kept healthy and active. Engagement with the creative and performing arts teaches them to be more self-disciplined, attentive and better at organising their busy lives. Through the arts, Harrovians find their own voice, the confidence to express their individual creativity, and a connection with the most enduring and significant elements of our cultural past.

Pastoral Care

Rather than being one single, distinguishable aspect of what Harrow does, comprehensive and effective pastoral care underpins a Harrovian’s entire experience of the school. At its most straightforward, it equates to term-time parenting: guiding, directing, consoling and nurturing, as well as intervening more significantly in times of need. And yet, it is also about enabling each Harrovian to become the best possible version of himself: considerate, perceptive and able to tackle life’s challenges head on. Whilst the focus of pastoral care is in the Boarding House, many other people, programmes and platforms play their part too.

Recent University Places

This year, Harrovians took up places at seven of the world’s top ten universities (QS World University Rankings), including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford and Chicago.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

At Harrow, we believe that success should be measured not by grades, but by one’s influence on the world. The willingness and ability to learn, to lead and to serve are what enable a life to be both well-lived and worthwhile.
