The Curriculum
Specialised teaching tailored to individual needs sparks boundless creativity, nurturing young minds to explore and shape their unique ideas. Beyond fostering academic excellence, the school’s new curriculum, the Learning Orchard, includes time in its Innovation Hub for hands-on learning and a philosophy and oracy programme that encourages confident communication.
Games & The Arts
Experience the energy and passion of Orchard House pupils as they take part in events like the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon and the London Mini Marathon. Celebrate the success of the school’s year six girls in the ESSA relays and a sixth-place finish in the 2025 IAPS Netball Championship. Orchard House nurtures a wide range of talents by facilitating over 300 private music lessons weekly across instruments including piano, violin, guitar, wind and drums. Through sports, music and performing arts programmes, the school develops every child’s unique talents.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is at the heart of everything the school does. Staff believe that when pupils feel safe, happy and valued, they are best able to flourish. Their commitment to wellbeing ensures every child has the confidence and support to reach their full potential. Individual learning plans give pupils a space to share concerns, helping teachers monitor wellbeing. A buddy system helps new pupils settle in quickly, while older students mentor younger ones, fostering a caring school community.
Recent Scholarships
Pupils go on to continue their education at some of the UK’s leading day and boarding schools, including Benenden, City of London, Francis Holland, Godolphin and Latymer, Ibstock Place, King’s College Wimbledon, Latymer Upper, St Paul’s Girls’ and The Harrodian.
Head Teacher’s Philosophy
We believe in children being seen, heard and celebrated. We find each child’s strengths, whether it’s music, running, maths or drama, and help them flourish.
Outstanding Characteristics
A seven-figure capital investment programme enabled the school to redevelop spaces such as its early years department and the Innovation Hub, which includes an art studio, podcast room and STEM room.
