The Curriculum

Tormead offers a broad, innovative and stretching curriculum throughout the Prep and Senior Schools, designed not just to impart subject knowledge, but to develop creativity, curiosity and a love of learning.

Games & the Arts

Tormead Sport provides a diverse range of options which are in tune with what our girls want to be involved in today, underpinned by a sport-for-all philosophy.  The Arts are supported by well-developed Music, Drama and Art Departments.

Pastoral Care

A fundamental value at Tormead is treating everyone with respect and dignity. We provide a network of personal support through Heads of Year, Tutors and Mentors, as well as specialist pastoral staff, including a School Healthcare Lead, Pupil Support Officer and in-house Counsellor.

Our pastoral care has been rated excellent by inspectors, by parents and most importantly, by our girls, who thrive in the supportive environment.

University Places

The majority of girls leave Tormead to study at their first choice University. In addition, for the past 4 years, Tormead girls have won prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarships.
