But where does Claudia Winkleman get her outfits from – and does she get to keep them after The Traitors? Let’s find out.
The Story Behind Claudia Winkleman’s Traitors Outfits

Does Claudia Winkleman Have A Stylist?
Yes, Claudia Winkleman works with stylist Sinead McKeefry on her outfits for TV appearances – including Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors. The pair have been working together for two decades, having met through fellow TV host Fearne Cotton. ‘It’s been a long old relationship,’ McKeefry tells C&TH. ‘It was Fearne actually who introduced me to Claudia around 18 years ago. We just clicked instantly.’
But while there’s always been some interest in Winkleman’s wardrobe, the stylist emphasises that The Traitors has been a whole new experience. ‘It’s been pretty insane, I have to say,’ she says. ‘I usually get a great response from Strictly, but people hadn’t really seen Claudia in the outdoor elements before. It was new and exciting.’
Does She Wear Her Own Clothes On The Traitors?
Keeping the above in mind, no. Claudia Winkleman’s outfits on The Traitors are curated by her stylist, who either buys, borrows or rents items to be used on the show. Speaking to the BBC about series 3, Winkleman said that she had ‘snuck home a couple of pairs of gloves, but sadly most of it, I have to give it a little kiss whilst not wearing lipstick, and send it back.’
McKeefry creates 24 looks for each season: ‘there are 12 daytime looks, then 12 round table looks.’ And each series starts with a mood board, created by McKeefry to help refine the feel of Winkleman’s look for each iteration of The Traitors. In series 1 and 2, for example, the stylist explained how she ‘used old pictures of Amanda Harlech, some Jigsaw and Burberry campaigns from years ago. It’s also about having the right fabrics, textures, colours – and playing with them.’
(Winkleman has also spoken about her looks from the show. Ahead of series 3, she teased ‘more knitwear, quite a lot of tweed… more big sweaters and at one point I try and look like an actual yeti.’ And for The Celebrity Traitors, she described her wardrobe as: ‘Cruella de Vil with a touch of Miss Trunchbull… Unhinged in taffeta was where we went.’)
From there, McKeefry builds each look from scratch, leaning into her mood board themes, practical styling and a dash of theatricality. ‘Within the game, there are the missions,’ she tells us. ‘The missions can determine whether we can be a bit more theatrical, but we often don’t know what those missions will be until we get there. So, we have to go out on a bit of a limb. Look at the Saint Laurent fringe coat, for example. And then there was the funeral challenge. That brief came very late – we had 24 hours to send a veil up to Inverness.’

Which Brands Does Claudia Winkleman Wear On The Traitors?
The basis for Winkleman’s wardrobe during the last two instalments of the show were British and Irish brands. ‘Purdey, Brora, Barbour, Dubarry of Ireland, Johnstons of Elgin – you know, all the heritage brands,’ says McKeefry. ‘And Claudia really naturally makes the clothes look quite cool. So, sometimes I can afford to put her in things that are a bit more traditional. She carries it. She makes it work.’
Alongside these homegrown staples, you’ll also find global-facing designer pieces – like the black fringed Saint Laurent coat, or the green Kapital jumper. These ‘twists’, as McKeefry calls them, help keep the TV host looking fresh out in the highlands.

The Connolly Fit (Series 4)

Claudia Winkleman rounded off the latest instalment of The Traitors with a true tried-and-tested look: a long, tailored coat thrown over a knitted vest and a puff sleeve shirt. All three hero pieces came from Connolly, a London-based label that stylist Sinead McKeefry has turned to on multiple occasions for the show. These were teamed up with Winkleman’s classic Spanx leggings, a pair of navy Brora wrist warmers and Bottega Veneta Lug boots.

The Purdey Look (Series 4)

The semi-final might have been tense, but rest assured that Traitors host Claudia Winkleman remained faithful to her usual style statements. And this time, she stuck to one of her ‘true hundy’ labels: Purdey. She teamed up an oversized Fair Isle knit and a pair of green jeans from the label, along with a pink LK Bennett shirt and black Miu Miu boots.
She took most of these piece with her into the Mission, only adding a brown wool coat form Connolly, wine-hued Brora wrist warmers and a white beanie from Mr Mittens.
The Fair Isle Jumper (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
For finals week, Claudia Winkleman and Sinead McKeefry went all out with the statement knits. In this episode, the TV host once again turned to new favourite Hambro & Miller, donning one of their signature Nordic jumpers, as well as designer label Chloé for a pair of wine-toned flares. It seems McKeefry cut a panel from the hem at the back of the trousers, so that Winkleman’s McQueen platform boots could peek through.
The Mission, meanwhile, saw Winkleman swap out her Chloé trousers for a pair of similar-hued leggings – which were teamed up with a matching wrist warmers (the same Brora pair from the previous episode) and a beanie. But don’t worry, there was still some Chloé magic going on: McKeefry selected a beige wool coat from the label (sadly now sold out, but you can get it in black here) to finish off the outfit.

The Black Velvet Mini (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Another monochrome moment for the Round Table – but this time, the Traitors host ditched the usual blazer and leggings for a thick knitted jumper (another pick from Hambro & Miller) and a velvet mini skirt from The Kooples, complete with bows and a white frill underskirt.
The Woolly Coat (Series 4)

Another episode, another ginormous fluffy coat to lust after. Matching the drama of the series, Winkleman’s second shearling moment of series 4 left viewers with a newfound obsession. The coat in question hailed from London-based label Self-Portrait (now no longer available), and featured greyish-purple hue that shifted into charcoal nearer the ends. In true Winkleman fashion, this was thrown over an all-black outfit and teamed up with a pair of Brora wrist warmers – this time in a playful Fair Isle knit.
The Textured Kilt (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
One of Winkleman’s most well-known Traitors combos? A kilt, clunky boots and a woolly jumper. Staying faithful to brand favourite Le Kilt, the TV host wore a tweed-textured rendition of the Scottish skirt, alongside a monochrome jumper by cashmere specialist Madeleine Thompson and a pair of brown boots from The Row.
She took the same look to the Mission – with a few tweaks. Pulling on her signature wrist warmers (this pair comes from Brora), a long, camel-coloured coat from Reiss and a green beanie from & Other Stories, the TV host then swapped her castle boots for a pair of countryside-ready Bottega’s.

The Duck Sweater (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Name a more iconic duo than Claudia Winkleman and Burberry. In this look, the Traitors host wore not one, not two, but three pieces by the British heritage label: a knitted jumper decorated in ducks, blue-toned tartan trousers and, later, a cream duffel coat with a check inner lining. (As stylist Sinead McKeefry said online, ‘forever faithful to Burberry.’) She teamed these hero pieces with a pair of Grenson brogues and her trusty Johstons of Elgin wrist warmers.

The Customised Loafers (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
There’s always an element of theatre when it comes to crafting Winkleman’s Traitors wardrobe – and in series 4, the devil was indeed in the detail. While most audience members may have missed it, eagle-eyed fans of the show spotted the host walk into breakfast one morning in a pair of black and white loafers. But they weren’t just any old loafers; the DUKE + DEXTER shoes had been customised specially for the show, with the words ‘Traitor’ and ‘Faithful’ neatly painted on the upper part of each vamp.

The Burberry Bomber (Series 4)

Mission time often calls for style heroes that can brave the elements – and in this episode, Winkleman’s team opted for cherry red checked bomber jacket from British heritage label Burberry. She teamed it up with black ME+EM tuxedo trousers, chunky Chelsea boots from Dr Martens and her signature wrist warmers (this time a plain black pair from Johnstons of Elgin).
The Shearling Coat (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Series 4’s fluffy coat moment did not disappoint. It followed a tried-and-tested formula: dark, streamlined ensembled swallowed up by a larger-than-life shearling moment. This time around, the Traitors host traipsed out in a longline coat from Connolly, thrown over an oversized Petar Petrov shirt, her signature Spanx leggings, Brora wrist warmers and black lace-up Miu Miu boots.
The Charcoal Suit (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Fans of The Traitors will have learnt by now that tailoring forms a core part of Claudia Winkleman’s show wardrobe, with her stylist often leaning into heritage fabrics – think tweed and tartan – that capture the spirit of the Highlands. And in this look, she nailed it with charcoal herringbone suit, complete with dramatically flared trousers. Tucked underneath was a crisp white ME+EM shirt, and on her feet she wore another pair of clompy black boots, this time from British luxury label McQueen.
The Tartan Coat & Ruffle Skirt (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Textural layering comes back into the spotlight with this look. Once again drawing inspiration from the Scottish setting, McKeefry dressed the Traitors host in a Harris tweed coat from local label Brora. She teamed this up with a chunky knitted jumper and wrist warmers from Hambro & Miller, a beanie from Mr Mittens and a flirty ruffle skirt from Needle & Thread.
The 'Grandma Chic' Look (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Another episode, another sweater vest we can’t help but eye up. Closing out the week in head-to-toe grandma chic, Winkleman rocked up to breakfast in a caramel-hued tank from Le Kilt – which she teamed up with a clashing pussy bow blouse and culottes. On her feet, the TV host wore a pair of buttery boots from luxury footwear label Paris Texas.
The Sweater Vest x Kilt Combo (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Is it really a series of The Traitors without a Fair Isle knit or tartan kilt? (No, no it’s not.) While we typically see the two hero pieces isolated in individual looks, this time around stylist Sinead McKeefry gave the pattern clashing trend a whirl by bringing the two heritage styles together. The knitted vest comes from Hambro & Miller, a new brand in the Traitors style universe (McKeefry said on Instagram that she ‘discovered these guys last year and [is] loving [them]’), while the skirt comes from the much-loved Le Kilt. The look was finished off with a simple black turtleneck, and sleek mahogany boots from The Row.
The Oversized Peacoat (Series 4)

The Traitors Series 4 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry
Winkleman kicked off a new series of The Traitors with a bang, a fresh wardrobe and even a few surprise twists that were brand new for the fourth instalment. As always, the new cycle starts with a lakeside challenge that saw contestants whizz across the loch to secure money for the prize pot. Cheering on bankside, Winkleman tapped into the now-beloved Traitors challenge-wear formula: a dark ensemble comprised of black leggings, chunky Dr Martens Chelsea boots, a tartan Purdey shirt and a black peacoat from high fashion favourite Saint Laurent.
The Hero Cape (All Seasons)

The Traitors Series 2 (c) BBC/Studio Lambert/LLARA PLAZA
A staple for every instalment of The Traitors, you won’t catch a series without spotting Claudia in her black Luxury Family Affair poncho, red leather fingerless gloves (of which she apparently has a drawer full), black leggings and her chunky Dr Martens boots. You can’t go wrong with a classic.
