Where to get your wellness fix in the capital
While London is no stranger to a spa day, there are some spots within the city that offer an added layer of exclusivity alongside their luxury standing. Boasting spas, high-tech beauty gadgets and holistic wellness offerings, these private members’ clubs are some of the best in London.
The Best Members’ Clubs With Spas In London
The Other House South Kensington
This boutique hotel and members’ club offers a charming escape from the hubbub of South Kensington’s busy streets. Taking a ‘home from home’ approach, The Other House South Kensington is definitely one of the cosier clubs in London – which makes it all the easier to sink into its top notch spa offering. Open to club members and hotel guests only, the Mamma Wellbeing spa comes kitted out with a vitality pool, sauna and steam room. Treatments and therapies, meanwhile, are carried out in calm side rooms, where guests can take their pick of holistic massages, aromatherapy, craniosacral therapy and even beauty services. And it doesn’t end there; regular sound bath sessions are also hosted by Leo Cosendai trained sound practitioners (who have the largest gong in the UK), so that you can round off your spa trip with a relaxing meditation session.

The Sloane Club
The Sloane Club is one of the city’s hottest re-openings, having spent the last few years undergoing a massive top-to-bottom refurbishment. The club is set for a full comeback this September, but its wellness space is already prepped to welcome its members. As well as a sauna, high-tech gym and studio (complete with an in-house fitness team who will help create personalised plans), the club is also home to two treatment rooms where members can book massages, facials and beauty treatments delivered using Bamford products.

Cloud Twelve
With one of the most expansive luxury wellness offerings in the capital, lifestyle club Cloud Twelve regularly goes viral online for its buzzy treatments (head spa massage, anyone?) and impeccable service. Spread across three floors, the Notting Hill club is home to a spa, luxury salon and wellness clinic. You’ll find the usual spa treatments – massages, facials – as well as access to a bio-hacking lab, thermal therapy and the aforementioned head spa, while clinic guests can get better acquainted with naturopathy, acupuncture and hypnotherapy.

Grey Wolfe
While members’ clubs are already pretty exclusive, it’s fairly uncommon to find one where you can get the entire space to yourself for the duration of your visit. But that’s the reality at Grey Wolfe, the luxury club dedicated to wellbeing and longevity. Members can access all treatments and services on offer at Grey Wolfe, as expert practitioners remain discreetly on hand to help guests create a personalised wellness programme. Monthly members also enjoy a luxury welcome box, a quarterly wellness mapping kit, a 1:1 wellness check-up, an Attuned Recharge Treatment, online wellbeing classes and unlimited BioTech treatments, including Rebalance Impulse, Infrared Sauna, BioCharger, Lymphatic Boots, Hyperbaric Oxygen Pods and LED Facial Therapy.

bhuti at Bingham Riverhouse
Slightly further out from the city centre, in the leafy borough of Richmond, you’ll find Bingham Riverhouse. The boutique hotel, whose roots stretch all the way back to 1740, has operated as a B&B since 2004 – but it wasn’t until 2020 that a private members’ club was added on top. And with a spa offering curated by ‘Soul Health’ brand bhuti, it’s quickly becoming the area’s go-to wellness option. With its own dedicated ‘eco treatment space’ in the townhouse, bhuti’s top recommendation is the aromatherapy sound healing massage – which brings together the expertise of energy worker Sama Trinder skills, legendary sound healer Anne Malone (Oasis of Sound) and aromatherapist Kay Saber. Expect a fully personalised treatment, starting with a tea ceremony and relaxation period, followed by sound healing and a muscle-melting aromatherapy holistic massage.
Details:Â Annual membership is ÂŁ1,608 (ÂŁ1,500 on next renewal) and monthly membership is ÂŁ258 (ÂŁ150 on next renewal)

The Lansdowne Club
It might sit in the heart of busy Mayfair, but The Lansdowne Club is one of the city’s most discreet members’ retreats in the city. The building itself was reimagined as a members’ club for men and women all the way back in 1935, and has been charming guests ever since with its 18th century grandeur (and modern comforts). The jewel in the crown, however, is the club’s spa facilities, which encompass an Art Deco swimming pool and steam room, as well as dedicated physiotherapy and massage services. Hair and beauty services, meanwhile, are headed up by multi award-winning salon Hiro Miyoshi, which is renowned for its precision techniques and high-quality Japanese hair tools.
