As we move from winter into spring, it’s out with deep, heady fragrances of colder climes and in with floral, fruity, citrus scents that are ever so light and full of vibrance. Here we round up some of our favourite perfume releases to ring in spring 2023.

As its name suggests, Vibrant Hibiscus opens with an energetic blend of cassis, Italian mandarin, peony, rose and pink hibiscus and is balanced with jasmine, sandalwood and Indonesian patchouli for an elegant touch. A new fragrance from Fortnum & Mason, the refreshing and sweet Pomegranate Rose Wash Eau de Parfum has been created by British perfumer Lyn Harris and features top notes of zesty grapefruit, orange, and sweet pomegranate.
Kilian Paris

Kilian Hennessy’s namesake perfume line evokes luxury and modernity, and so, cue the Can’t Stop Loving You scent, created in collaboration with perfumer Alberto Morillas. At the forefront is African orange blossom along with paradisone, honey and vanilla.

Established in 2006 by Eddie Roschi and Fabrice Penot, and then acquired by Estée Lauder in 2014, Le Labo is a go-to for perfumes, grooming products and delicious home scents. If you’re after something floral come spring (groundbreaking, we know), then Le Labo is the best place to start. Choose from neroli, iris, fleur d’oranger, rose and more. There’s also the Bergamote 22 Eau de Parfum, a fresh, sweet, and floral fragrance with a kick of bitterness courtesy of the grapefruit tang.

Say hello to sunny days with this Eau de Parfum by Byredo. This is a fragrance that reimagines a summer by the sea, with uplifting top notes of mandarin and Californian lemon, combined with neroli and Arabian jasmine. There is also a nostalgic nod, with a base note of sweet candyfloss and musk.
Santa Maria Novella

Heritage perfumier Santa Maria Novella dates all the way back to 1221, and is widely considered to be the longest running pharmaceutical-meets-cosmetics brand. Its shops offer a range of scents, including the Rosa Gardenia Eau de Cologne. Expect vibrant top notes of bergamot, almond blossom, and orange blossom with gardenia, rose and jasmine, with a base note of sandalwood, vanilla, and musk.

Perfumer Jacques Cavallier says this fragrance is a ‘celebration of sweetness’ due to its delicate floral notes and the subtle hit of Italian zesty fruit. The scent profile trails off with musky notes at the end that give a smooth, powdery finish.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian

Having crafted fragrances for the likes of Dior and Elie Saab before starting his own perfume Maison in 2009, French-Armenian perfumer Francis Kurkdjian is known for his richly layered scent profiles. Donning a musky floral scent, 724 offers top notes of aldehydes and fresh Italian bergamot that are combined with Egyptian jasmine absolute, white floral and lingering musk accords.
