Here's How To Nail Hailey Bieber's Strawberry Makeup Look

This summer has seen a slew of food-inspired beauty trends hit our feeds. From tomato girl season and blueberry milk nails to creamy latte skin, the movement seems endless. The latest fruit to land in our basket? Strawberry makeup, courtesy of Hailey Bieber. Here’s how to nail the look at home.

What Is Strawberry Makeup?

‘Strawberry makeup is a fresh and playful look that mimics sun-touched skin with berry-pink shades of blush, added freckles and lips in the same tone as the cheeks,’ says Dior Makeup pro artist Jamie Coombes. ‘It is an effortless look to create, very minimal and youthful. It can look great on anyone and is easily adaptable to each individual makeup style. What’s also great is that anyone can wear it by simply adapting the colour intensity to the wearer’s skin tone.’

The trend is taking the world of social media by storm, too. ‘It has recently become popular on TikTok, with many content creators jumping on the trend,’ confirms Jamie. The latest big name to take on strawberry makeup? Hailey Bieber. The model took to TikTok over the weekend with her own take on the trend, giving her followers a tutorial to mastering the look.

How Can We Recreate The Look?

As mentioned, Hailey shared her own tutorial for recreating a strawberry makeup look, which you can watch below:

We also asked Jamie to break down the process into a step-by-step guide, who tells us how we can channel strawberry makeup with the help of Dior Beauty products:

Step 1: Prep

‘Fresh glowing skin is the base of this look,’ begins Jamie. ‘So I’d suggest starting off by prepping the skin with a hyaluronic-infused serum and primer. I use the Dior Capture Totale Le Sérum and the Dior Forever Glow Veil primer.’

Step 2: Contour

Now to create some shape, as Jamie instructs: ‘Lightly contour the face, hairline, temples, cheeks and eyes using a bronzer.’

Step 3: Concealer

‘Then you can use concealer to correct any dark circles (I recommend the Dior Forever Skin Correct),’ says Jamie. ‘You can also use a lighter shade of concealer to lift and highlight the high point of the face.’

Step 4: Blush

And then it’s time to create that strawberry glow. ‘Add colour to the cheeks by lightly dusting blush across the horizontal panel of the face, taking it over the cheekbone under the eye and over the nose,’ instructs Jamie. ‘This will help create the illusion of sun-touched skin. For this step, I suggest using the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush.’

Step 5: Freckles

‘Add a few freckles using an eye or brow pencil – I love the Diorshow Brow Styler,’ continues Jamie. ‘Lightly press and twist the pencil onto the complexion to create the freckles then dab lightly with the ring finger to diffuse and disperse for a more natural effect.’

Step 6: Lips

Lip girlies can really come into their own with this step. ‘For the lips, I would go with your favourite red lipstick (the hero Rouge Dior 999 is perfect for this look),’ suggests Jamie. ‘Dab the lipstick on the centre of the lips and using your finger disperse the colour over the lips. The colour residue on your finger can then be patted over the cheeks to unify the look. You can use a lip oil at the end for a glossy effect – I’d recommend a touch of Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil.’
