Festive shopping starts here

The days are colder, the clocks have gone back, we’re craving hot chocolate – it can only mean one thing: Christmas has arrived. The doors are about to open on some of Europe’s finest festive markets, with a handful of pop-ups across the UK adding to the fun. And the next one on our radar takes place on the first two weekends of December (perfect for early birds). Here’s everything you need to know about Instagram-famous makers market Salad Days’s Christmas takeover at Battersea Power Station.

The Salad Days Christmas Market 2025: What To Expect

When it comes to curating a small makers’ market, no one does it quite like Salad Days. And when it comes to the festivities, it doesn’t play around. Last year they took Selfridges by storm with an early winter shopping experience – but this time around, they’re going even bigger. Salad Days is setting up shop (or rather, stalls) at Battersea Power Station this December, with not one, but two markets set to run over the first two weeks of the month.

‘The Power Station is decorated for the festive season and it looks absolutely beautiful,’ said Salad Days in an Instagram post. ‘[We’re] ready for you to join us and have a wonderful day out with family and friends.’

Open to all, the Christmas markets will host a huge line-up of independent brands – changing over each day – spanning everything from gifts, personalised treasures and handmade jewellery to art, ceramics, beauty products, bags, stationery, accessories, scrunchies and more.

There will also be live activations going on throughout the day. Think live portraits, bauble decorating, charm necklace making and vending machines dishing out vintage brooches and prints.

It’s expected to be a busy one. Salad Days has only gone up in popularity since its founding in December 2019 by twin sisters Olivia and Daisy Tinker, who have grown their marketplace community over the years (alongside a pretty impressive following on Instagram). During this time, Salad Days has hosted over 80 markets across London and worked with more than 2000 small brands.

Which Brands Will Be There?

This will be one of Salad Days’ biggest markets yet, with 30 different brands popping up each day over the first two weekends of December. Each day will be a totally different line-up (meaning no two days will be the same), so you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to Christmas shopping.

For the full list of brands scheduled for each day, see Salad Days’ events blog here.

With Christmas coming up, the markets will also stock greetings cards, gift wrap and decorations (as well as plenty of special gift ideas for loved ones)

No, you won’t need to book a slot to attend. Entry is free, and visitors are welcome to arrive anytime throughout the day – although the team at Salad Days recommend getting there after 3pm if you’d prefer to avoid the crowds.
