Here are your options when it comes to dining at the Championships

Of course tennis is the core focus of Wimbledon, but other elements are also a pivotal part of the experience – including the food and drink offering. Everyone knows you can’t leave without sampling the strawberries and cream and sipping a glass or two of Pimm’s, but all that to-ing and fro-ing is hungry work, so what else is on offer at the Championships? For those lucky enough to have secured tickets this year – or fans planning to brave The Queue – we’ve created the ultimate guide to food and drink at Wimbledon, which returns to London from 30 June – 13 July 2025.

A Guide To Food & Drink At Wimbledon 2025

There’s a wide variety of food on offer at Wimbledon, from picnic hampers to fine dining from leading chefs. Plenty is available for regular ticket holders, but to enjoy the more formal restaurant settings you’ll need a hospitality package (and, unsurprisingly, these don’t come cheap).

Public

Walled Garden

The Walled Garden is located in the centre of the grounds, accessed via either St Mary’s Walk or the Gate 3 Piazza. This is a relaxed place to grab a drink and something to eat in between matches, either from the Food Market or from the Larder. On the menu this year you’ll find the likes of fish finger sandwiches, chicken shawarma and vegetable burgers at the Food Market, and grab-and-go bites like pasties, rolls and sushi from the Larder.

Centenary Garden

Another casual place to dine is the Centenary Garden, accessed via the South Concourse or St Mary’s Walk. Cafe Pergola serves lunches like roasted aubergine with pumpkin seed brittle, rotisserie chicken, baked sea bass and a range of salads, as well as cream tea and ice cream from Jude’s.

Southern Village

Located near courts 2 and 12, the Southern Village is always lively, with a big screen showing the tennis. There are an array of food and drink stalls here serving Neapolitan pizzas, pasta dishes, Pimm’s, wine, beer and soft drinks.

The Cavendish

New for 2025 is The Cavendish, a restaurant offering all-day dining located near Court 1. Named after tennis legend Henry Jones, known as Cavendish, this is a sit-down dining option available for both pre-booking and walk-ins. On the menu you’ll find a mix of small and larger plates: think smoked haddock fishcakes and Isle of Wight tomato salad, alongside sandwiches and desserts including – you guessed it – strawberries and cream, which have remained the price of £2.50 a portion since 2010.

Picnics

Another option is to grab one of the ready-made picnics and head to The Hill (widely known as Henman Hill) – a quintessential part of the Wimbledon experience, where you can watch the tennis on a big screen. The Express Picnic includes a choice of sandwiches, snacks and drinks, available from either The Hill Larder, the Walled Garden Larder or Tea Lawn Larder.

Hospitality

Le Gavroche at The Lawn

Michel Roux’s Mayfair restaurant Le Gavroche was open for an impressive 57 years before closing its doors in 2024. But those who never got a chance to go can now experience its delights at Wimbledon, where a pop-up of the London stalwart is returning for the second year running. Here diners will be treated to an exceptional five-course tasting menu, plus the famous cheese trolley, alongside vintage champagne and wine pairings.

The Treehouse

For an informal hospitality dining experience, The Treehouse is your best bet. Packages include Centre Court or Court 1 seats, alongside a roaming menu of small plates from chef Tom Sellers, and afternoon tea. In-house mixologists will be whizzing up cocktails, alongside wines, beers and drinks – plus tickets get you access to The Lawn’s English-style garden, where you can enjoy live music and watch the tennis on a giant screen.

Can You Bring Food & Drinks To Wimbledon?

Yes, visitors are allowed to bring their own food and drink in. However, some items are banned including hard-sided containers, vacuum flasks over 500ml and picnic hampers. Alcohol-wise, each guest can bring the equivalent of one bottle of wine or champagne, two cans of beer or two premixed aperitifs.
