The TV personality, podcaster and radio host gives us full access to her beauty routine

Is there anyone in Chelsea – or London, even – that doesn’t know the name Sophie Habboo? The multi-media creative may have rose to fame via reality series Made In Chelsea, but in the years since she’s branched out into podcasting, radio hosting and brand building. (And recently, the star announced she would be going full circle with upcoming Disney+ show, in which she and husband Jamie Laing navigate the first steps of parenthood.) But through it all there has been one pillar of consistency: her beauty routine. Below, Sophie Habboo takes us through her makeup bag and daily routine, and reveals the best piece of beauty advice she’s ever been given.
What’s Inside My Makeup Bag? With Sophie Habboo

Let’s start with the bag itself – describe it for us?
For my 30th birthday, my friend Melissa gifted me a Celine makeup bag that I absolutely adore. It’s chic and fits everything I need.
What’s your pre-makeup beauty ritual?
I’ll exfoliate with Goop Goopglow 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel and then apply a 111SKIN face mask for a glowy finish.
After my exfoliation routine, I use a nice serum, followed by a hydrating moisturiser and protectant SPF (my go-to is the Ego SunSense line).
Let’s break down your makeup routine – face?
For a fresh base, I reach for the Kylie Cosmetics Skin Tint.
I also sprinkle in various MERIT products throughout my base routine, like the Priming and Firming Moisturiser.
Eyes?
I love the Hourglass Voyeur Waterproof Liquid Liner, MERIT Clean Lash Mascara and Charlotte Tilbury bronzer for my eye makeup.
Lips?
I’ll usually go for a lip liner – either the MAC Lip Pencil in Oak or Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Iconic Nude.
Finishing touches?
I always finish my makeup with a drop or two of the Rodial Soft Focus Glow Booster Drops.
To set?
It has to be Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray.
Brushes and sponges?
Typically, I reach for my Charlotte Tilbury brushes and/or my Beautyblender makeup sponge.
Which item instantly makes you feel made up?
For sure, it’s Rodial Blush Drops.
What’s the one piece of makeup you always carry in your handbag?
I never leave the house without a lip liner in my bag.
What about the hero product you can’t live without, and have used for years?
Heliocare sun cream.
Tell us about a beauty trend you love?
My favourite beauty trend (or rather, trick) is placing my contour in an upwards direction to snatch my face.
And one you can’t wait to see fall out of fashion?
Laminated brows aren’t that flattering on me, so I’d have to say that’s a beauty trend I wouldn’t miss.
What’s something you did beauty-wise in your youth that you’d never do again?
Over-fluff my brows or put concealer on my lips.
The best piece of beauty advice you’ve been given?
Never try to not look like yourself. Everyone is naturally beautiful.
What’s your beauty philosophy?
Less is more.
What item do you think should be in every beauty bag?
Always keep a lip balm in your bag. There’s no time for dry lips. They’re not a vibe.
