Whether it’s a moreish canapé, a showstopping main or a refreshing cocktail, it’s often the food and drink that stays with us after attending events. Keeping your guests well-fed and merry is a surefire way to make your party memorable – which is why choosing a caterer is one of the most important decisions you’ll make when planning an event. The name to know for 2026? Rhubarb, a leader in luxury catering which is renowned for crafting extraordinary events, and the chosen partner for C&TH’s upcoming Great British Brands party.

For the past three decades, Rhubarb has hosted all manner of events across the UK and US – from intimate 30-person dinners to lavish weddings to black-tie soirees for over 300 guests. Its venue portfolio spans iconic cultural destinations across the country such as landmark King’s Cross event venue Town Hall by Bottaccio and the Royal Albert Hall, with clients including everyone from Net-A-Porter to Royal Ascot and L’Oreal.

Creativity, slick service and meticulous attention to detail sit at the heart of the company. Themes are brought to life with flair, and unique touches are added to really set each event apart – think live sushi stations, bespoke caviar stalls and more.

The Food

Naturally, excellent food is pivotal to Rhubarb, with a focus on championing the best local, seasonal produce from across the British Isles – like hake from Cornwall, Hereford beef and forced rhubarb from the last remaining producer in Yorkshire, the Tomlinson family. ‘Seasonality is always our starting point,’ says executive chef Kieran Reilly. ‘These menus are about clarity, balance and letting quality ingredients shine, while creating food that feels generous, elegant and memorable for our guests.’

So what’s on offer for spring/summer 2026? The menu kicks off with an array of fresh, eye-catching canapés, with highlights including confit potato with charcoal aioli, red pepper and sweet potato tacos, braised beef cheek with truffle, and buttermilk fried chicken. If bowl food is the right vibe for your event, the offering includes everything from cacio e pepe to aubergine schnitzel and glazed lamb belly.

For more formal dinners, you can craft a three-course menu. Begin with starters like Orkney scallop, wagyu carpaccio or whipped English feta with heritage tomatoes, followed by mains of herb stuffed Cornish chicken or South Coast stone bass.

The dessert offering, meanwhile, features a spread of fresh summery desserts, like citrus meringue tartlet, Eton Mess parfait and peach melba delice. We particularly love the sweet canapé option too, where you can delight your partygoers with trays of chocolate honeycomb bites and cups of strawberries and cream (perfect for mingling drinks parties). And throughout the menu, there are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options to ensure all your guests are well-fed.

Responsibility

Better still, Rhubarb is committed to meaningful business which has a positive impact on the planet. As a member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association, Rhubarb has taken steps to lower its carbon footprint: all parts of ingredients are used to minimise food waste, underutilised staples like seaweed and grains are incorporated into menus, and fish is caught using responsible methods. Anything left over after an event, meanwhile, is redistributed via London charities The Felix Project and Too Good To Go.
