Pretty much every pub in the city will be screening the games, but below we’ve highlighted the C&TH pick of venues. Whether you’re a hardcore football fan or are (let’s be honest) just there for the vibes, these hotspots guarantee an electric atmosphere plus great food and drinks. For England games, be sure to book in advance as popular spots tend to get full up quickly.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 takes place from 11 June – 19 July 2026.
When Is England Playing?
England’s first game takes place on 17 June 2026 at 9pm UK time, when the squad – led by captain Harry Kane – will take on Croatia. Next they play Ghana at 9pm on 23 June 2026, followed by a match against Panama on 27 June 2025 at 10pm.
