Europe's top A-list hotspots

It’s the year of the euro summer, and the stars can’t get enough. Every A-lister under the sun is holidaying in Europe right now – whether that’s draped off the deck of a yacht in the middle of the Med, road tripping across Italy or hotfooting around Ibiza’s most sought-after restaurants. Of course, celebrities have long been flocking to Europe for their vacations. Years before Dua Lipa and Callum Turner sent us all wild with jealousy with their Italian honeymoon snaps, there was Jacqueline Kennedy sunning herself on the island of Capri, and Brigitte Bardot putting St Tropez on the map. But which hotspots have the biggest star appeal for today’s in-crowd? Here’s where the celebrities are going on holiday in Europe in 2026.

Where Are Celebrities Going On Holiday In Europe This Summer?

A street in Mallorca

Mallorca

With its glamorous mountain villages and jaw-dropping five-star hotels, it’s no surprise the Balearic island of Mallorca attracts the rich and famous. Everyone from Audrey Hepburn to Princess Diana to Harrison Ford has holidayed there at some point, while names like Rafael Nadal and Catherine Zeta-Jones have homes there and visit every summer. The archipelago remains a buzzy destination for famous faces this year: earlier in the season Amy Schumer was spotted paddleboarding in the scenic Escorca area, known for its clear waters and secluded beaches. And right now, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox are enjoying a yacht getaway off the Mallorcan coast alongside Pedro Pascal and Aniston’s boyfriend Jim Curtis.

Sardinia

Home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, the rugged Italian island of Sardinia is having a moment – and the celebrities are flocking there in their droves. Kendall Jenner and Leonardo DiCaprio are regulars among the Costa Smeralda circuit (the isle’s most luxurious region, located on the northeast coast), and just this month Adele was photographed boarding a yacht there alongside designer Tom Ford. Footballer Kylian Mbappé and Spanish actress Ester Expósito have been papped on the island this summer too – also on board a yacht, this time in Porto Cervo, another of Sardinia’s most high-end areas famed for its glittering marina.

The South of France

Many years before the days of Instagram, the South of France became a playground for the world’s elite. In the 1920s F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway spent time there, drawing inspiration for their books from the glitz of Riviera life – but it was Bardot that really turned the sleepy fishing village of St Tropez into an international destination. The arrival of the Cannes Film Festival in 1946 further pushed the region into the limelight, bringing the world’s top film stars there every May. But that’s not the only reason A-listers visit: DiCaprio is a regular and was seen on a date night in St Tropez with model Vittoria Ceretti just days ago. Meanwhile, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were photographed celebrating their one-year anniversary on holiday with a boat ride on the Riviera coastline. Perhaps they’ll bump into Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is currently on vacation there, or other France-loving celebs like Joan Collins and Brad Pitt.

Sicily

Season two of The White Lotus propelled Sicily into the limelight, sparking a new wave of tourism for the historic Italian isle. And years on, the appeal shows no sign of slowing – particularly among the stars, with two high-profile celebrity weddings taking place on the island recently. In September last year, Charli XCX and George Daniel tied the knot at the coastal venue of Tonnara di Scopello, and earlier this summer Lipa and Turner said ‘I Do’ at a majestic hilltop estate in Bagheria. The pair then kicked off their honeymoon in the Sicilian town of Taormina, staying at San Domenico Palace – the five-star hotel which soared to fame after starring in the hit Prime show. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez was spotted enjoying a stroll through the streets of Taormina this summer, and Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland was seen cruising along the Sicilian coastline for some R&R after the World Cup.

Ibiza

Are you really famous if you haven’t been pictured partying or sunbathing on the White Isle? Ibiza has always been one of Europe’s top celebrity meccas, beloved for its unparalleled clubbing scene, pricey beach clubs and sprawling villas – and this summer is no different. The Beckhams kicked off their euro summer on the Ibizan coast, staying in their very own megayacht with daughter Harper Seven and son Romeo. And they’ve returned for another stint post-World Cup: David was recently spotted reading Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel One True Loves on the deck while Romeo revved around the sea on a jet ski with girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Model Naomi Campbell has also been sighted on the island this summer, looking chic while waiting to board a yacht.

Mykonos

The A-list draw of the Greek island of Mykonos dates back to the 1960s, when it became popular with names like Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly and Marlon Brando. In the early 2010s, it began getting a name for itself as the new Ibiza, frequented by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Leonardo Di Caprio and Lindsay Lohan – but recently there have been whispers the island has lost its dazzle. However, sightings this summer have revived the Mykonos hype: Matthew McConaughey was seen partying at famous beach club Scorpios, and Sofia Vergara shared a video of her dancing on the island with some friends. Meanwhile, eagle-eyed fans snapped comedian Kevin Hart and rapper Ludacris dining at Spilia Restaurant: a seaside eatery found inside a cave on the shores of Agia Anna.
