Laura Jackson On Her Personal Style Rules

The brand founder and broadcaster on her style crush, favourite cult labels and her love of timeless fashion
Laura Jackson wears a lot of hats. A broadcaster by trade, she’s also the founder of interiors destination Glassette and skincare brand ROCCO, and her latest venture sees her turn her hand to jewellery: Celestial Links, a collection designed with British jeweller Astley Clarke.
It’s no surprise, then, that Laura Jackson’s style is built around a busy life. Here, she talks us through her daily uniform (tracksuit bottoms for the school run, tailoring for the office), the autumn layers she relies on when the temperature drops and the heels that change how she walks into a room. Plus, the lesser-known labels she loves, the red lipstick she never leaves home without and why she’s slowly building a wardrobe she’ll still be wearing years from now.
My Style: Laura Jackson
Daily uniform?
At home, it’s a T-shirt and Adidas tracksuit bottoms, ready for the school run between calls. For the office or meetings, it’s one of my HAX tailored suits; I like feeling put together without overthinking it.
Style crush?
Paul Smith. I recently interviewed him and he told me he wore a suit to the office every day during lockdown, despite being the only one there. Making that effort, even when there’s no one to see it, is something I really admire.
Go-to pieces for autumn?
Lots of layering as I really feel the cold. A long-sleeve from Arket under an &Daughter cardigan or a chunky men’s knit from Kestin, great socks and a woolly hat.

Favourite accessories?
The Mixed Metal T Bar necklace from my Celestial Links collection with Astley Clarke, layered with the Statement Link Necklace and Malachite & Dalmatian Jasper Pendant. The trio works so well together.
Night out?
These are rare now so I make an extra effort. A silk slip dress from Coutille or something from Lovebirds feels special, with Manolo Blahnik shoes.
For instant wow?
A layer of ROCCO Sunshine Dew to brighten and hydrate my skin and then ROCCO Happy Eyes. They lift my whole face in minutes.
The piece that makes you stand taller?
A pair of Jimmy Choo Scarlett heels changes how I walk into a room. The right heel can shift your whole posture. Shoulders back, chin up and I’m ready to take on anything.
Under-the-radar labels?
Tove for incredible dresses; Rejina Pyo is a favourite; Hai for its bags and jackets; and Lee Mathews.

Timeless or trend-led?
Timeless. I had a huge sort out last year and have been slowly building a capsule wardrobe, which is hard when I’m a magpie for colour and texture. Now I’ll only buy something if I know I’ll still wear it in years to come.
Style hacks?
A good knit instantly smartens any outfit, either thrown over my shoulders or tied across diagonally. I never leave the house without a lipstick; even on the most chaotic day, a bright red lip elevates any look. And I’ll wear stacks of earrings: hoops with my kids’ initials and my Celestial Links Gold T Bar Huggies. Even a really plain outfit can feel special with jewellery.
