Announced and filmed last summer, All Her Fault is an upcoming Peacock drama – and we finally know where we will be able to watch it in the UK

We love a juicy, female-led drama, which is why our interest was immediately piqued when we caught wind of this upcoming drama. And with stars hailing from some of TV’s top dramas of late – including The White Lotus, The Bear and Succession – it is no surprise fans are already intrigued by All Her Fault.

Led by Dakota Fanning, Sarah Snook and Abby Elliott, All Her Fault is based on Andrea Mara’s bestselling 2021 novel of the same name (Mara is also on board as an associate producer). With a UK release date finally revealed, here’s everything we know so far.

All Her Fault: Plot, Cast, Release Date

Produced by Carnival Films – which has brought us everything from The Day of the Jackal to Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth in recent months – we cannot wait to tune in to All Her Fault. With Megan Gallagher on board as writer, creator and executive producer – having previously penned one of the UK’s buzziest dramas of 2023, Wolf, and currently working on another high profile project starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth – along with Succession star Sarah Snook, it is shaping up to be one of 2025’s splashiest dramas.

A suburban thriller in the style of Little Fires Everywhere and Big Little Lies, All Her Fault centres on a terrifying yet plausible situation that sends shockwaves through a tight-knit community, leaving deep secrets unearthed. With Mara’s novel set in Ireland, there will be a shift to the US for the TV series.

The drama commences when Marissa Irvine arrives at 14 Arthur Avenue to collect her son Milo from his first playdate with a boy at his new school. But Marissa doesn’t recognise the woman who answers the door: she isn’t a mother from the school, she isn’t a nanny, and she doesn’t have Milo. In fact, she has never heard of him. And thus begins every parent’s first nightmare.

As the news spreads around town, an unexpected suspect is named – but whispers start to spread about the women closest to the incident. Only one of them may have taken Milo – but could they all be to blame?

All Her Fault was filmed in Melbourne in August 2024. It joins Netflix’s Apple Cider Vinegar, another glossy drama filmed in the glamorous Aussie city.

Lead star Snook hails from Australia, though the South Australia capital of Adelaide as opposed to neighbour state Victoria’s Melbourne. The star praised the 510-strong homegrown production team working on All Her Fault, calling the crew ‘world class‘, brimming with ‘a can-do attitude’ that additionally showcased how TV productions can ‘lower [their] environmental impact without compromising quality.

The Cast

The star studded cast is where All Her Fault has been gaining traction: it’s the only project Succession star Snook has in the works following her award-winning run in one woman show The Picture of Dorian Gray. Meanwhile Fanning recently attracted acclaim for her parts in Ripley and The Perfect Couple, and Elliott has garnered a large fanbase thanks to her work on The Bear.

Taking to Instagram to share the news, author Mara wrote, ‘The idea that a character I made up during one of my kid’s occupational therapy appointments five years ago is being brought to life by actual Sarah Snooke is insane. And, bizarrely, last week I started writing my 2026 book and named the main character Siobhan, after Shiv, though I had no idea that’s who was being lined up to play Marissa, so maybe this is how to manifest things.’

Rounding out the cast, Jake Lacy stars as Peter. The star has an uncanny knack for hugely buzzy TV series recently (The White Lotus, Apples Never Fall, High Fidelity and more).

The full All Her Fault cast is as follows:

  • Sarah Snook as Marissa Irvine
  • Dakota Fanning as Jenny
  • Abby Elliott as Lia
  • Jake Lacy as Peter
  • Sophia Lillis as Carrie
  • Michael Peña as Detective McConville
  • Daniel Monks
  • Jay Ellis
  • Thomas Cocquerel
  • Duke McCloud
  • Kartiah Vergara

Writing on Instagram upon the casting announcement, author Mara said: ‘I squealed when I heard this news earlier today – I adored White Lotus and think Jake Lacy is perfect for Peter, and Sophia Lillis looks like an absolutely ideal Carrie (plus my teens are finally impressed because they know her from TikTok). As for Michael Peña – his character Kiki from Narcos: Mexico is one I’ll never forget and the idea that the same actor is going to be in All Her Fault has blown my mind.’
