Love art? Love collecting art? Love wandering around and seeing lots of new art? We’ve got five perfect events for you
‘Tis the season… No, not that one. It’s art fair season in London, meaning it’s time to peruse – and maybe even scoop up – a brand new piece. Thankfully London’s art fairs are world-class. Here are the very best to snap up tickets for this season.
Photo London
After a successful decade at Somerset House, the UK’s premier photography event is moving to the newly redeveloped National Hall at Olympia for its 11th edition, showcasing international historic and contemporary works in larger, more flexible spaces. Regardless, we can expect Photo London’s reliable roster of cutting-edge practitioners, exhibitors and respected professionals, platforming the past, present and future of photography. Amateurs, artists and practitioners alike will all be attracted to the more offbeat approaches, as well as the not-to-be-missed talks and workshops.
Details: Photo London runs at Olympia (Hammersmith Road, London W14 8UX) from 14–17 May 2026.

LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair
LAPADA’s annual fair closes the art season, providing the last opportunity to purchase beautiful and extraordinary pieces from an art fair before Christmas. Expect more than 100 specialist dealers across fine art, antiques, watches, furniture and design. In 2025, an new exclusive partnership with Haute Jewels also saw the exceptional curation of international haute joaillerie in the heart of Mayfair for the very first time. Enjoy onsite dining by Jimmy Garcia and a Fringe programme at locations across Mayfair.
Details: LAPADA returns from 27 October–1 November 2026 on Berkeley Square.

Affordable Art Fair
This iconic British institution has spread its wings overseas in recent years, but Affordable Art Fair will always call London its home. The first of its three annual events in the capital comes to Battersea every Spring and Autumn and Hampstead every May, showcasing the work of some of the most exciting artists working today, with all pieces priced between £100 and £10,000. For a fun, more unique evening exploring the art on offer, visit Art After Dark Lates featuring DJs and drinks and creative workshops with incredible artists.
Details: Affordable Art Fair will return to Hampstead from 6–10 May 2026, followed by Battersea from 14–18 October 2026 and again in March 2027 (dates TBC). Tickets start from £14pp.

PAD London
The prestigious PAD art fair was founded in 1997 in Paris by Patrick Perrin, with the first London edition running 10 years later in Hanover Square. Now set in Mayfair’s Berkeley Square, PAD London is the only fair in the UK exclusively dedicated to 20th-century and contemporary Design. It was designed to inspire collectors, art consultants, museum experts and interior designers – but if you don’t fall into any of these categories, it’s also just a lovely place to browse.
Details: PAD returns to Berkley Square from 13–18 October 2026.

FOCUS Art Fair
One of London’s most colourful and joyous art fairs is FOCUS, which takes over Chelsea‘s Saatchi Gallery for one autumn weekend every year. With a focus (ahem) on the hottest new art emerging from Asia (including Korea, Japan, Bali, India, China and More), expect pop art galore, creative innovations and to see the work of artists who rarely exhibit in the UK.
Details: FOCUS Art Fair returns from 15–18 October 2026 at Saatchi Gallery (Duke of York’s HQ, King’s Rd, London SW3 4RY). Tickets start from £20pp.

Frieze London
Perhaps London’s most renowned art fair, Frieze is certainly one of the biggest. Spread across Regent’s Park are three interconnected fairs: Frieze Sculpture, Frieze London and Frieze Masters. Frieze is all about contemporary art, from emerging to established artists – but you can get your pre-21st century fix at Frieze Masters. A programme of talks and special projects make this one of the more talked about London art fairs of the season.
Details: Frieze London runs 14–18 October 2026 in Regent’s Park. You can find Frieze London towards the south of the park (entry via Park Square West, NW1 4LL) and Frieze Masters on Gloucester Green in the Park’s northeast corner (NW1 4HA).

London Art Fair
As the first Fair of the year, LAF is a suitably premier event, and presents the best and the bold in British and European Modern art. Noted for its prestigious offerings, the event consistently delivers high-end galleries in a refreshingly informal atmosphere, with collections and artworks ranging from the quirky to the traditional. The Fair seeks to nurture collecting at all levels while providing expert insight into the changing international market. In addition to the Fair’s core exhibits, there are new curated sections such as Platform and Encounters, which feature the next generation of artists. With a strong gallery presence and extensive programme of engaging panel discussions, interactive performance art, and on-site activations from the partner of the fair (in 2026, it was UK treasure, the National Trust) all kickstart the art to come in stellar style.
Details: The London Art Fair will return to Islington’s Business Design Centre from 20–24 January 2027.

Collect
Collect
Presented by the Crafts Council, Collect has triumphed at an accelerated rate in recent years, in part thanks to a greater appreciation of what constitutes ‘craft’. In 2026, returning to Somerset House under the navigation of new director, former Wallpaper editor TF Chan, 40 international and national specialist galleries and arts organisations championed collectable design and furniture ranging from the avant-garde to the joyful and innovative. More than 300 living artists were represented across ceramics, glass, lacquer, furniture, jewellery, metalwork, wood, textiles and paper. Emerging names accompany established masters, highlighting the importance of sustaining and evolving craftwork. A 2026 highlight was WAJOY (Kanazawa) from Japan, who showcased the versatility of urushi as a contemporary material, revealing it as a living, transformative medium: fragile yet enduring, tactile yet conceptual. If you missed it, you can see Urushi Now: Contemporary Japanese Lacquer at the V&A South Kensington from 30 April 2026.
Details: Collect is expected to return to Somerset House in March 2027.
