Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids Series 4 – What To Expect & Where To Watch

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids traces the family’s journey renovating a derelict neighbouring property they bought to plan for the family’s future. Amanda, Clive and their nine children (Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy) will draw on the expertise of local tradespeople to slowly bring their vision to life, tackling changing weather conditions and the fickle nature of restoring a remote listed property.

This is a project long in the making – both the farmhouse, affectionately known as Anty John’s, and the series. The first two series of the show were filmed over two years, while the second two took another eight and five months respectively.

But the work that went into the restoration was worth it, according to the Yorkshire Shepherdess. ‘I am beyond delighted that we have been given the opportunity to showcase this unique and beautiful part of our British countryside and for people to join us on our exciting journey through the restoration of our farm next door,’ said Amanda Owen. ‘We’re grateful for Channel 4’s support and the effort and utter dedication of the film crew who have had to work in challenging weather conditions, coupled with the unimaginable chaos of both children and animals. This is a programme that I am seriously proud of.’

‘Watching the 11-strong Owen family pulling together to transform this wonderful old barn has been an incredible ride so far,’ added Wise Owl series producer James Knight. ‘We’re so thrilled we’ll be there to cover the next chapter. As work begins inside to turn its four walls into a home, Amanda will be digging deeper into Anty John’s eye-opening back story, and we’re looking forward to spending more glorious days at both Ravenseat and Anty John’s.’

What Will Happen In Series 4?

Where series 1 and 2 traced the trials and tribulations of renovating a dilapidated farm house known as Anty John’s next door to the Owen family farm, series 3 looked at the structure’s interiors. The same theme carries on into series 4, with Amanda looking at all the bits and pieces that need to be put together inside the property, from designing the interiors to installing plumbing and running water to transform the centuries-old derelict farmhouse into a modern home. We can also expect to hear more about the history of the farmhouse, which was once occupied by local celebrity Anthony Clarkson, known for making maps of Swaledale.

Series 4 of Our Farm Next Door was filmed over winter 2025 and spring 2026. ‘The series continues to follow the Owens as the ambitious renovation of their new family home, Anty John’s, enters its third year,’ said an official announcement by Wise Owl. ‘Meanwhile at Ravenseat we see the family welcome some unexpected new faces at Christmas; we’re there to see all hands on deck for a busy Easter lambing season; as Amanda continues to uncover the fascinating and moving history behind Anty John’s and the Clarkson family who once lived there; and we’re with Edith and her sisters as they prepare the cream tea van for its grand Summer opening.’

Who Is Amanda Owen?

Those with an interest in farming (no matter how small) will be familiar with Amanda Owen, aka the ‘Yorkshire Shepherdess’. The British hill farmer, television presenter and bestselling author first rose to fame alongside her husband Clive on The Dales, before launching into a series of TV shows that let audiences in on life behind the scenes on the farm. Although Amanda and her family (which includes nine children and a farm’s worth of animals) are best known for their 2018 series Our Yorkshire Farm which aired on Channel 5 until 2022. Then, in 2024, Channel 4 revealed it was bringing the Owen family back to our screens with Our Farm Next Door.

Elsewhere, Amanda is well known for her Twitter presence, which is where she created her ‘Yorkshire Shepherdess’ alias, which in turn led to her 2015 non-fiction title of the same name. She has since penned five books (including a Christmas title) inviting readers into her world of farming.

Will There Be A Series 5?

No news just yet on series 5. Following the success of series 1 (2024) and series 2 (2025), Channel 4 renewed Our Farm Next Door for two subsequent series (which aired at either end of 2026). It’s thought that series 4 should wrap up the show, with its exteriors and interior projects now finished – but we’ll have to wait to find out if there’s still work to be done on the farm.
