Will There Be The Bear Season 4?

Yes, The Bear was been quietly renewed for a fourth season last year, and it was actually filmed back-to-back with season three.

What Will Happen?

With season 3 very reflective, tracing many events of the past, The Bear season 4 is rooted in the present – so we can expect many more of those lengthy, one-shot scenes and fewer disjointed flashbacks.

Season 3 left us on a minor cliffhanger: when Carmy returns to The Bear after attending the ‘funeral’ of his favourite restaurant Ever, he gets a notification – the much-awaited Chicago Tribune review for his restaurant has landed. A tumult of words flash on screen, both good and bad – and it’s impossible to find the verdict amongst it all. Carmy has four missed calls from Uncle Jimmy, who warned earlier in the season that one bad review could break the restaurant. So it’s not looking good.

Meanwhile, Sydney is still panicking over an offer from Chef Shapiro to join him launching his own restaurant after the closure of Ever. As Carmy’s Docusign for The Bear languishes ever-longer in her inbox, the early episodes of The Bear season 4 are sure to trace the fallout of her decision, whichever way she swings.

According to Disney, The Bear season 4 ‘find Carmy, Sydney and Richie pushing forward, determined not only to survive, but also to take The Bear to the next level. With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome.

‘This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better,’ Disney adds. ‘It’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.’

Who Stars?

Since season 4 was filmed back-to-back with season 3, there are no scheduling excuses for our core cast. We expect all of the main stars to return, including:

Will The Bear Season 4 Be The Last?

No news just yet on whether the upcoming season of The Bear will be its fourth and final. Naturally, we never want it to end, but it has to run out of steam one day. With season 4 filmed immediately after season 3, we can imagine the series creators wanting to lock their stars down and tell the ending they desire before chocka schedules throw a spanner in the works.

Release Date

In line with previous seasons, all 10 episodes of The Bear season 4 will be available to stream from Thursday 26 June 2025. In the UK, The Bear streams on Disney+.
