Whether your dad loves a good pizza, is wowed by fine dining or prefers relaxed pub grub, we’ve pulled together a selection of restaurants for Father’s Day in London on 15 June 2025. Because there’s no better way to say thank you than with a delicious meal and a drink or two.
Best Restaurants For Father’s Day 2025
Brat, Shoreditch
BEST FOR: Trendy Shoreditch vibes
It’s one of London’s hottest cult favourites, so book early to secure a table. Headed up by Welsh chef Tomos Parry, the restaurant is all about open-fire, Basque-inspired cooking, with suitably cool pared-back interiors befitting of its East London postcode. The name Brat is slang for turbot, and this is the hero dish, cooked in an iron cage over an open wood grill, with various sizes to choose from. But there’s also pollock pil-pil, roast duck rice and Angus beef rib, plus small plates of sardine toast, fresh chorizo and raw wild seabass. It’s not really the spot for vegetarians, but if your father loves seafood and meat he’ll be impressed by this Shoreditch gem.

The Connaught Grill, Mayfair
BEST FOR: Luxe hotel dining
The Connaught is one of London’s most prestigious hotels, home to a number of top-class restaurants and bars. For Father’s Day, though, The Connaught Grill is your best bet: an upmarket twist on the classic British grill, helmed by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. There’s a special set menu on offer featuring the likes of grilled Orkney scallop, braised veal shank and chocolate souffle tart, plus a beef wellington is being added to the Sunday roast offering, carved tableside for some extra pizzaz. A curated wine pairing, meanwhile, will focus on bottles from father and child owned vineyards. Nab a seat with a view of the open kitchen to see dishes being sizzled up on the wood-burning grill. Set menu available 9 – 15 June 2025

Chez Bruce, Wandsworth
BEST FOR: Michelin-starred French food
South Londoners have long been flocking to Chez Bruce to mark special occasions. Situated on pretty Bellevue Road beside Wandsworth Common, the restaurant has been around since 1995 – and it has held onto its Michelin star since 1999. There’s a focus on traditional French-inspired cuisine cooked with modern flair and seasonal ingredients: your meal could kick off with Norfolk asparagus with grilled Scottish salmon ahead of chateaubriand with hand-cut chips, ending on a sweet note with a classic crème brûlée. With an impressive wine cellar, this would be a good one for oenophile dads who appreciate fine dining without all the pomp often found in areas like Mayfair.

Indian BBQ restaurant Brigadiers will be opening its doors especially to screen matches throughout the day. As you watch, choose from two specials: the Sunday Mixed Grill, which features chicken chops, Achari beef short rib and guinea fowl kebab, or the Goan Peri Peri BBQ Spatchcock Chicken, which comes with chaat masala chips. Beer lovers can opt for two hours of free-flowing Cobra Lager, or enjoy cocktails like the Agrodolce, made with Tanqueray Gin, mango and ginger ale.

The Cadogan Arms, Chelsea
BEST FOR: Elevated pub dining

Located on the King’s Road, it always has a lively vibe yet the dining tables are slightly separated from the bar area – perfect for catching up over a Father’s Day lunch. The Sunday roast is one of London’s best: choose from rump of beef, pork belly, lamb shoulder – or a mix of all three – served with butter glazed vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding.
