Padella London Bridge

Padella Shoreditch

Not yet made it to cult pasta restaurant Padella? Consider this your excuse to go: from 9 – February 2024, children can eat for free at the Shoreditch branch. At both lunch and dinner, little ones can enjoy dishes like tagliarini with olive oil or the famed beef shin ragu.

Purezza

Purezza

Anyone who doubts vegan pizza will change their mind at Purezza, a fully plant-based pizza joint with four outposts around the UK, including one in London’s Camden. Instead of the classic cheese you might expect to see on a pizza, Purezza uses its own vegan mozzarella made in-house, alongside a variety of toppings. For every adult dining, one child can have a free pizza, with a choice of four on offer: cheesy, BBQ, pepperoni or tomato. Trust us – they won’t miss the real cheese.

Harvey Nichols

Fifth Floor Cafe, Harvey Nichols

A trip to Harvey Nichols might not scream child-friendly, but did you know on Sundays kids can dine for free there? Head to the Fifth Floor Cafe to make use of the offer, which allows a complimentary dish from the children’s menu with each adult dining from the a la carte menu. The kids offering includes linguine with tomato sauce and parmesan, fish and chips, and a cheeseburger, while adults can enjoy all-day dining dishes such as oven baked plaice or lamb skewers.

Heddon Street Kitchen

Many of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants have special offers for families, including Heddon Street Kitchen near Piccadilly. Every day of the week, children can enjoy a main for free, with dishes like macaroni and cheese, bangers and mash, and pasta and meatballs. If they’re still hungry, treat them to a dessert for just £3.50 – there’s a choice of chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream, or sticky toffee pudding. The regular menu, meanwhile, includes an array of dishes ranging from curries to sushi and salads.

The Real Greek

The Real Greek

You’ll never be too far from a branch of The Real Greek, which has outposts all over the city in places like Soho, Westfield and Covent Garden. If you visit on a Sunday, kids eat free – with one complimentary meal for every £10 spent by an adult. Little ones can choose from dishes like souvlaki wraps and mezze of sausages, flatbread and chips, while adults can feast on everything from chicken skewers to moussaka and halloumi fries.

Pembury Tavern

This much-loved Hackney pub has been around since the 1800s, but it underwent a big refurb a few years ago and is looking better than ever. It serves pizzas from ACE Pizza, and on Sundays you get one free kids pizza for each adult one bought. For adults, there are decadent creations like the ‘Bacon Is Good For Me’, topped with pancetta, cavolo nero, goat’s cheese and fior de latte, while kids can tuck into either a margherita or pepperoni – plus a scoop of ice-cream.
