All the foodie names we see in the new series

One of the most talked about shows of 2025, With Love, Meghan, is back for a second season. Just like the first, the Netflix series gives us an insight into the life of Meghan Markle, with a focus on her cooking, hosting and home life in Montecito, California. And once again, series two sees the Duchess of Sussex inviting a number of guests into her (staged) kitchen.

This time round, there are celebrity cameos from the likes of model Chrissy Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, as well as fashion designer Tan France. But Meghan is also joined by some notable chefs and restaurateurs, which we’ve highlighted below.

Which Chefs Feature In With Love, Meghan, Season 2?

David Chang

The first episode of this series sees Meghan joined by Korean-American chef and restaurateur David Chang. In 2004, David launched a ramen bar in New York’s East Village, which grew into a large restaurant group with outposts all over the US. He’s also the creator of Netflix documentary series Ugly Delicious, which sees him travelling the world to discover the stories behind famous dishes.

In With Love, Meghan, David visits Meghan alongside chef and cookbook author Christina Tosi. They make caramelised onion tarts topped with eggs laid by Meghan’s own chickens, and Meghan goes on to create a pocket square for David using a technique called water marbling.

Samin Nosrat

The star guest of episode four is Iranian-American cook and writer Samin Nosrat, best known for creating the perennially popular cookbook and Netflix series Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat. She also spent years as a food columnist for the New York Times Magazine, and created a podcast during lockdown with her friend Hrishikesh Hirway titled Home Cooking. Later this year, Samin’s second cookbook will be released, Good Things.

During this episode, Meghan and Samin pick apples to make apple butter. Meghan also cooks roast chicken, and shares a story with Samin about when she tried to make the dish for Harry on the night he proposed in 2017. ‘I will say when I made a roast chicken for my now-husband I was still having a lot of challenges with the conversion of celsius and fahrenheit. I made a horrible chicken that night. I mean, truly terrible,’ she says. ‘The point is you can make a terrible chicken and someone is still going to appreciate the thought.’

Meghan Markle and Clare Smyth

Clare Smyth

In episode six, Meghan is joined by decorated Northern Irish chef Clare Smyth. After growing up on her family’s potato farm in Country Antrim, Clare moved to Surrey aged 16 for an apprenticeship at Grayshott Hall, going on to train under Gordon Ramsay. In 2017, she opened her first solo venture, Core in Notting Hill, which went on to secure three Michelin stars.

Meghan and Clare have known each other for a while, as Clare helmed the cooking operations for Meghan and Harry’s wedding back in 2018. In the run-up to the wedding, Meghan and Harry visited Core for tastings, deciding on the signature potato and roe dish, which sees potatoes cooked in seaweed and served with dulse beurre blanc. This was followed with roast chicken, and at the afterparty guests were served a fried chicken recipe which Clare reveals is now an off-menu item at Core. ‘Oh my god, I love that we created something off menu,’ says Meghan. ‘If that’s my claim to fame, I’m thrilled.’

The pair visit a fish market, pick vegetables from Meghan’s garden, and Clare demonstrates recipes like her ‘magical green juice’ and poached California halibut, while Meghan makes homemade crisps. We also learn that Clare catered for Meghan and Harry’s first wedding anniversary meal, which took place in a ‘very old chapel’.

Speaking about the experience of starring on the show in an interview with Hello!, Clare said: ‘It was great to catch up with Meghan and spend time together in the kitchen. We went to the market, cooked one of my restaurant’s dishes and just had fun. It was light-hearted, relaxed and a special experience.’

Meghan Markle and Jose Andres

José Andrés

The season finale features Spanish-American chef José Andrés, founder of ThinkFoodGroup, which has restaurants all over the world including the two-Michelin-starred minibar in Washington. He is also an advocate for humanitarian causes, launching an initiative called World Central Kitchen in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti to help provide emergency food relief to people suffering around the world.

In With Love, Meghan, José arrives with a leg of jamon ibérico, telling the Duchess of Sussex: ‘Everybody should have one of those at home.’ During a chat, Meghan also reveals that Harry doesn’t like lobster, to which José jokingly replies, ‘And you married him?’ He also joins Meghan in cooking his seafood paella for the film crew, made with sea urchins and wine from the Santa Ynez Valley in California.
