Jellycat Drops New Fish & Chips Exclusives At Its London Concept Store

Oh my cod! There are some new faces at the Jellycat Fish & Chips van
British summer is, ahem, not really summering right now, but swing by Selfridges for a taste of the good stuff: crisp, vinegar laden chips, battered fish with a squeeze of lemon, mushy peas, sandcastles and more. Except it’s all in plushie form. A year on since Jellycat launched its Fish & Chips Experience at its London flagship in Selfridges, the pop-up van still proves a popular hit amongst fans, tourists and passers-by alike. And now, with a new line-up of Amuseables plushies about to make their way into the fryer, there’s even more reason to pay a visit. Here’s exactly what to expect.
Inside The Jellycat Fish & Chips London Experience
Beep beep! The fish and chip truck has arrived, and Timmy Turtle is stationed behind the wheel. What will you order? Perhaps a battered fish, a portion of chips wrapped in classic newspaper, or maybe just a side of mushy peas? What about the whole hog?
Commemorating 25 years of spreading joy worldwide, Jellycat has launched a brand new experience in London’s Selfridges Toy Shop, inviting fans to the chippy van counter to place their plushie order. Expect a retro Fish & Chip van with giant plushie Timmy Turtle in the driver’s seat, plus a team of friendly staff behind the counter ready to wrap up your goodies. Fancy salt, vinegar and perhaps a squeeze of lemon? Your wish is their command.
Which Jellycat Plushies Are At The London Fish & Chips Experience?
Best of all for fans, expect to find a very exclusive range of Amuseables, all under the fish and chips theme. (For those who aren’t in the know, Jellycat’s Amuseables line sees everyday objects, plants, sports and foods take on new lives as plushies.) The hero line that came out with the experience’s launch includes:
- Lily Fish: a battered cod
- Cosy Chips: a portion of chips wrapped in newspaper
- Dot and Peg Mushy Peas: a duo of fluffy peas
- Charlie Chip: a flat capped chip
- Clemont Lemon: a lemon wedge
- Vinny Vinegar: a bottle of vinegar
- Salty Steve: a smiley salt shaker
Select Charlie, Clemont, Vinny or Salty from the shelf, or order from the counter, and they will be served up from the fryer, seasoned to your liking and specially wrapped in Jellycat news-style paper (continuing the magic with a crossword and Jellycat news stories) fastened with a personalised sticker, before being handed over in a gift bag.
What’s New?
Hungry for more? Jellycat has you covered. There are some sizzling new additions to the menu for 2025, starting with Amuseables Sausage. ‘A proper British classic with a Jellycat twist,’ remarks the Jellycat team. ‘Toasty, charming and impossible not to smile at, this new character is served hot off a brand-new grill, adding even more theatre to the ever-playful Jellycat destination.’
Amuseables Sausage can be ordered from the counter, just like the other Fish & Chips characters, and wrapped in front of you in the experience’s signature Jellycat newspaper. Once ready to go, they’ll be tucked into a newly updated Jellycat Fish & Chips gift bag, which comes with new themed stickers and an exclusive enamel pin.

On the shelf, meanwhile, you’ll find two more brand new faces:

- Onnie Pickled Onion: A zingy little sidekick with a big personality
These new characters will be available to shop from 12 May 2025, only in the Selfridges London store.

Can You Order The Jellycat Fish & Chips London Experience Online?
No, you can’t get purchase any of Jellycat’s Fish & Chips Amuseables range online just yet, as they remain an instore exclusive. While the new range (Amuseables Sausage, Amuseables Michelle Mussel and Amuseables Onnie Pickled Onion) is only available in Selfridges’ London outpost, you can find the rest of the line at the department store’s Birmingham and Manchester locations.
