The Breaside curriculum is designed to prepare children for entry into senior schools while also providing a balanced and broadly based education. From their very first days in kindergarten at two-and-a-half years old through to the age of 11, staff ensure that every child receives the support and breadth of learning they need to thrive.

Games & The Arts

Breaside believes that learning extends beyond the four walls of the classroom. Students are encouraged to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer, which are designed to help them develop new skills and strengthen existing ones. These activities include music, the creative arts and physical education.

Pastoral Care

The school carefully monitors each child’s progress to support their individual learning journey, taking the time to understand their developmental stages and ensure they are on track to meet key milestones. Staff are proud of every one of their students and believe they thrive best when they feel happy, supported and inspired to do their very best.

Recent Scholarships

In recent years, pupils have received a mixture of academic and sport scholarships to schools such as Alleyn’s, JAGS, Trinity, Whitgift and St Dunstan’s.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

Breaside is a happy, thriving school built on a foundation of kindness and care. Our aim is to provide excellence in education, where children are enthusiastic learners, well-motivated and hold high expectations for their own achievements. At Breaside, we believe education is a three-way partnership between parents, teachers and pupils. Our vision is simple yet powerful: if children are happy, they are learning.
