The Curriculum
Freemen’s proudly offers the Freemen’s Pathway, a forward-thinking curriculum supporting pupils from the junior school to sixth form. GCSEs lead to flexible three or four A-level pathways with the EPQ. Results are exceptional: in 2025, A-level results were 31 percent A*, 72 percent A*-A and 92 percent A*-B, while GCSEs saw 37 percent grade 9 and 92 percent 7-9. Grounded in the ethos ‘learn, lead and make a difference’, the school nurtures resilience, empathy and kindness at every stage.
Sport & The Arts
Freemen’s champions sporting excellence and the creative arts. Pupils enjoy great facilities, expert coaching and the chance to take part in a broad mix of sports, with several involved in the Surrey Elite Player Programme and Surrey netball pathway. Art, drama and music all flourish, with a recent highlight being a spectacular Beauty and the Beast production at Leatherhead Theatre, showcasing talent across the school.
Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is at the foundation of life at Freemen’s. Its whole-school approach has earned the national Wellbeing Award for Schools, while the latest ISI inspection praised emotional wellbeing as a ‘significant strength’. The school’s wellbeing framework – co-created by pupils, staff and parents – ensures everyone feels known, supported and able to thrive in a safe, inclusive community.
Exit Destinations
Leavers achieve places at Russell Group, Oxbridge and top universities globally, including the US Ivy League.
Head Teacher’s Philosophy
To lead a school where every pupil feels known, supported and inspired. Freemen’s nurtures kindness, curiosity and ambition while preparing young people for life beyond school – whether university, apprenticeships or other routes – so they can grow, belong and confidently shape their future.
